Story
Adoption Donation    $   399 Located: New England  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx 8 years old Weight: 18 lbs.   Buffy settled in and her personality came out. She likes to play with my dog Teddy (a 2.5 year old choc lab) and gets her own zoomies, even though she’s 8. She loves balls and little stuffies.    She’s crate trained and not destructive at all. Only has accidents if left outside the crate and without humans home for more than a few hours. She sleeps on my bed without night issues.    She ADORES her primary person. She’ll be your shadow. She’s fine with people (new or known) coming and going from the house.    She loves food. Definitely needs less. She’s gotten fat with us because my dog grazes and I just fill the bowl. She might benefit from scheduled feedings    No young kids for her. When she’s settled in for a nap, bed or has a favorite toy, she will growl if you bother her. If you don’t heed her warning she will nip.    Re. The cleft palate, It hasn’t been an issue. It doesn’t impede her breathing, eating or playing with balls or her favorite little stuffies. Her mouth is petite so small kibble and treats. They pulled teeth before she came up here. All her remaining teeth look white and healthy.    My yard is fenced so I haven’t taken her for any long walks. Though she does well on a leash when I’ve taken her places. She doesn’t need a lot of exercise. She zooms around on her own when she wants to.     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information: bctek78@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save li ves from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   bctek78@gmail.com Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Story
Welcome Ana to CCPAL foster/rehome program. Ana is living in Connecticut. She is a 32 pound and 5 year 8 month old Corgi/Australian Cattle Dog. She was adopted as a puppy and now is not getting along with a new Healer in the home. The Corgi part of this pup makes her more suitable for an only home. She is great in a doggy park but not fond of sharing her bed, toys or family with another live in dog. This makes miss Ana in need of a new forever home. She is an affectionate dog. She is potty trained and has good recall when called. She is an alert dog when someone is at the door or something out of place in the yard. She is adorable and will be a great companion for a family. She has been good around all people including strangers. She is currently not around a cat . Ana is a smaller dog with a larger than life personality and looks to match. She is a great walker on leash and has had some training. She is very smart. Ana could have a meet and greet with an approved application. Ana is healthy, spayed and current on vaccines. Rehome fee is a $200 donation to the Rescue. We have included her puppy video when she was in Texas and her current photos now in CT home. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Name: Shiloh Age: 8 months Breed: Corgi mix Size: 23 lbs Adoption Application: https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 Contact: transport@hssm.org Say hello to Shiloh! Shiloh is eight month old mixed breed sweetheart and she is ONE SMART COOKIE! Unlike some of her shelter besties in playgroup who might be a little slow to pick up on basic training, Shiloh LOVES to learn new tricks. And she picks them up FAST. The person here that has taken her on as their project dog is always impressed at how quickly she learns. She already knows sit, stay, down, give paw, and loves a game of fetch. She is also great with other dogs and keeps up with the energy no matter how high. She would make a great working dog or hiking/running companion especially since she is basically still a pup. Don't get us wrong - she loves to snuggle too so really she's the best of both worlds. She's fixed, heartworm negative, and ready for her next adventure with you! ****LOCATED IN MISSISSIPPI - TRANSPORT UPON ADOPTION***** Shiloh's $300 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccines, microchip AND transport fee to a location near you. We currently have transportation to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Please email transport@hssm.org for more information on transports! --> If you are interested in adopting Shiloh please fill out our online application here: (https://forms.gle/nuKXoMu6gjS5DhFm8 - Dog). A staff member will reach out if your application is approved to discuss the adoption process. No fenced in yard required, and YES - we adopt to families with children! The adoption will not be final until the adoption contract is discussed and signed. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions. For further information, please first fill out the application referenced above. **Due to import regulations we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Story
Meet Ginny, a young adult (approx. 2 years old) spayed female Corgi mix, weighing about 45 lbs!  Ginny is currently in TN and is expected to arrive in CT on 2/21. We are accepting applications on her now!  Ginny is a sweet girl who loves her people, she will happily follow you around and is an excellent cuddler! She also loves car rides and would be thrilled to join you on adventures! While she does ok meeting other dogs, Ginny can be dog selective (she was surrendered by her previous owner due to not getting along with one of the other dogs in the home). She has done well with the other dogs in her TN foster home, however we feel that she would be happiest as an only dog. She has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how she would do with cats.  Ginny loves people and is a friendly girl but as a young herding breed, we recommend older kids 10+ (as she may try to herd small children). She thrives in a calm home and would love nothing more than to be the center of your attention! Ginny is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained. Apply to meet this special pup today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2647740##
