Story
Adoption Donation    $   399 Located: New England  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx 8 years old Weight: 18 lbs.   Buffy settled in and her personality came out. She likes to play with my dog Teddy (a 2.5 year old choc lab) and gets her own zoomies, even though she’s 8. She loves balls and little stuffies.    She’s crate trained and not destructive at all. Only has accidents if left outside the crate and without humans home for more than a few hours. She sleeps on my bed without night issues.    She ADORES her primary person. She’ll be your shadow. She’s fine with people (new or known) coming and going from the house.    She loves food. Definitely needs less. She’s gotten fat with us because my dog grazes and I just fill the bowl. She might benefit from scheduled feedings    No young kids for her. When she’s settled in for a nap, bed or has a favorite toy, she will growl if you bother her. If you don’t heed her warning she will nip.    Re. The cleft palate, It hasn’t been an issue. It doesn’t impede her breathing, eating or playing with balls or her favorite little stuffies. Her mouth is petite so small kibble and treats. They pulled teeth before she came up here. All her remaining teeth look white and healthy.    My yard is fenced so I haven’t taken her for any long walks. Though she does well on a leash when I’ve taken her places. She doesn’t need a lot of exercise. She zooms around on her own when she wants to.     If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information: bctek78@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save li ves from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   bctek78@gmail.com Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt.  From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit.  If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Story
Luca is a good dog that has some issues with young children. When alone he is very calm and relaxed. When he gets around my young kids who yell and jump around, he bites. He has bitten one of my kids multiple times now. It has happened too many times for me to feel comftable with the dog around my kids. In a home with no children Luca would be a great dog.

Story
Peanut is an adorable 16-week-old Corgi/Chihuahua mix weighing about 7 pounds, and he’s expected to be around 25–30 pounds full grown. This goofy little guy is as sweet as he is cute and has such a fun, lovable personality! Peanut is a total Velcro puppy who loves being close to his people and will happily follow you wherever you go. He’s affectionate and snuggly, but he also has a playful side and absolutely loves his toys. He has a nice medium energy level—the perfect mix of playtime and cuddles. He does great with kids, cats, and other dogs and is doing great with crate training and housebreaking. Peanut is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever family!

Story
Welcome Foxy Lady to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Corgi/Cairn is our best estimate on her breed. She is 15 months old. She has a longer coat and weight about 25 pounds. She should be full grown and if anything may fill out some. She will be a small dog full grown. She is good with other dogs, good in a crate and getting used to Rescue life. She has an adorable underbite and her teeth are in great shape. We think her best home would be with someone who has had a Corgi and has the time to finish her training. I would say moderate to active family is best. She could be with kids. We think 8 or older is best. She likes the women at the shelter and warms up more slowly to new people. She readily accepts women. She will be worked with on her leash manners and she has ridden in the car without problems. Her best home would be a more quiet one that she can get more one on one attention. She would be great for an older couple, or single person that wants a nice companion. She doesn’t seem to be the social butterfly but very content with being home. If you think this sounds like a good fit for you, put in an application. She is a wonderful dog and a head turner for sure. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
There are happy dogs... and then there's Bubba Wubba. This little guy wakes up every day like life is the best thing ever. The world could be falling apart around him, and Bubba would still be wagging his tail, happily trotting over to climb into your lap for kisses. He's the definition of carefree, and his joyful outlook is impossible not to smile at. Watch his video and fall in love with this cutie: https://youtu.be/NLbYGoUvjCI?si=6NR64PzZqgSwyqyN At approximately 1 year old and 24 pounds, Bubba is our best guess at a Corgi/Husky mix. But with rescue, it's always a mystery! He's got the cutest combination of short little corgi legs, a long body, a curly husky tail, adorable ears, and the sweetest big brown teddy bear eyes you've ever seen. Bubba is the total package. He's incredibly sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he's with his people. Whether you're watching TV, working around the house, or just relaxing, Bubba wants to be part of it. If there's an open lap, he'll happily claim it, cover you in kisses, and soak up every bit of attention you have to offer. His foster says he'll even gently paw at you if you stop petting him before he's ready. He's the perfect "best of both worlds" kind of dog. Bubba has enough energy to enjoy walks and playtime, but he settles down beautifully afterward. He's not too busy, not too lazy. Just an easygoing companion who wants to be wherever you are. Bubba has wonderful house manners, is both crate trained and potty trained, and already knows how to sit for treats. He's a smart little dude who takes treats gently and is eager to please. He has done great meeting both large and small dogs, greeting everyone politely with a sniff before going about his day. He could absolutely thrive as your one-and-only dog soaking up all the attention, but he'd also do well in a home with canine companions. Bubba has also done well around cats, making him a great fit for a variety of homes. People are definitely his favorite, though. Bubba loves everyone he meets and has never met a lap he didn't want to climb into. He even did well meeting children, though he was so excited he couldn't resist trying to cover them with kisses. Because of his petite size, balanced energy level, and easygoing personality, Bubba may even do well in an apartment as long as he gets his daily walks and time with his favorite people. If you've been looking for a dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, and remind you to enjoy the little things in life, Bubba is your guy. He's proof that sometimes the very best companions come in short-legged, curly-tailed packages. We are willing to test Bubba Wubba with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match.
