Welcome Foxy Lady to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Corgi/Cairn is our best estimate on her breed. She is 15 months old. She has a longer coat and weight about 25 pounds. She should be full grown and if anything may fill out some. She will be a small dog full grown. She is good with other dogs, good in a crate and getting used to Rescue life. She has an adorable underbite and her teeth are in great shape. We think her best home would be with someone who has had a Corgi and has the time to finish her training. I would say moderate to active family is best. She could be with kids. We think 8 or older is best. She likes the women at the shelter and warms up more slowly to new people. She readily accepts women. She will be worked with on her leash manners and she has ridden in the car without problems. Her best home would be a more quiet one that she can get more one on one attention. She would be great for an older couple, or single person that wants a nice companion. She doesn’t seem to be the social butterfly but very content with being home. If you think this sounds like a good fit for you, put in an application. Let’s talk about Odie!!!  He is the most adorable, goofy, happy little guy!  He has an under bite which gives him cutest smile ever!! He has personality plus! Odie has an absolute "melt your heart" face, adorable trade mark Corgi ears, and His coat is so soft it feels like velvet, featuring a striking combination of glacier white and sparkling copper with perfectly matched markings on his face. He is does well with other dogs, cats and kids. He will roll over for a belly rub and is learning other basic manner in his foster home. He's a fun loving little guy who’s eager to find a home who will include him and treat him with love he deserves.  Odie is currently with his foster family in Kentucky and will arrive in the New England area via pet transport once he is adopted. His adoption fee is $875. He is neutered, current on his vaccinations, heartworm negative, and up to date on heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. He is a very well trained energetic  snuggle bug. House trained, crate trained, Walks beautifully on a leash, has the best recall I have seen in a corgi, lives for tennis balls and squeaky toys. He is up to date on all his shots and we have all of his vet records from our vet and his previous ownersHe is anxious around other dogs in a house setting. He is really good in the car, just very excited so he tries to bounce around a lot. Does really well on walks minimal pulling, listens to commands, pretty loose leash I can walk with a coffee in hand and it stays in the cup, even when other dogs are around. Touching his paws or armpits, causes him anxiety, He got into a cactus while living in AZ and since then screams if you touch his paws. Even if he puts his paw in your hand. 

Meet Winnie! 🐾 Winnie is a 1-year-old Corgi/Shepherd mix** weighing about 30 pounds and she has the classic Corgi personality—smart, confident, playful, affectionate, and just a little bit bossy! She loves being with her people and will keep you smiling with her funny, mischievous personality. Winnie loves people and enjoys children, but her herding instincts mean she may try to nip at the ankles when they are running. Because of this, an older-child home would be the best fit. She also loves playing with other dogs and would do best with a friendly, more submissive dog who won't mind Winnie occasionally trying to be the boss. She would also be fine as an only dog. Winnie has done well with cats she's lived with, although she does have a tendency to chase cats and squirrels when she's outside. Winnie is crate trained and house trained with a doggie door, though she may need a little adjustment learning to let her people know when she needs to go out without one. She also loves going for car rides and would happily tag along on adventures. Like many Corgis, Winnie is clever and curious—and sometimes a little too clever! She enjoys stealing socks and toys, so her new family will need to keep up with her. It's all part of her fun-loving personality. Winnie is a happy, affectionate, energetic girl with lots of personality who would love an active family ready to give her the exercise, structure, and attention she needs. ❤️ She is spayed and up to date on sll shots and microchip.
