Story
Emily and her side-kick Chris were taken from their Louisiana home in late September for neglect and will be coming up to Save A Dog this weekend. Emily is around 3 years old and has so much to offer to her new family. She goes out in play group with a group of dogs every day. She's 14" tall and weighs 25 lbs. She likes to swim and keeps her kennel clean. She ignores cats! She's actually living in the house with dogs and cats. She's spayed and up to date on vaccines. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and the adoption team will get right back to you.

Story
Life happened to our beautiful girl called Zoey.  This 5 year old Pembroke Corgi girl has been a comfort to her momma who has been fighting cancer and the treatments have exhausted her human.  Zoey's mom wants her to have a new home and people who will care for her with walks and love and happy times.  She loves Zoey too much to hold on to her.  Zoey has missed her exercise time and gained a few extra pounds during this time her mom is moving slow.  At 28 pounds Zoey is in need of good long walks and some monitored food portions.  Her mom says that Zoey would be a great only dog and would serve her kingdom well as Queen of the Household.  She loves all people and gets along with dogs most of the time but doesn't like them rushing up to her face.  She is housebroken and loves to snuggle with you on the sofa.   She is a delightful Corgi through and through and will give a new family the best that she has to give of herself.  She is up to date on all vetting and spayed and microchipped.  She is being prepared now for the change in her life.  She accepts the fact that she will be moving and we are looking for the right family that will be patient as she settles in to a new rhythm in her life.  Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com  if you are interested.   PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.October 14, 2026, 12:27 pm

Story
Welcome Foxy Lady to CCPAL Rescue. She is a Corgi/Cairn is our best estimate on her breed. She is 15 months old. She has a longer coat and weight about 25 pounds. She should be full grown and if anything may fill out some. She will be a small dog full grown. She is good with other dogs, good in a crate and getting used to Rescue life. She has an adorable underbite and her teeth are in great shape. We think her best home would be with someone who has had a Corgi and has the time to finish her training. I would say moderate to active family is best. She could be with kids. We think 8 or older is best. She likes the women at the shelter and warms up more slowly to new people. She readily accepts women. She will be worked with on her leash manners and she has ridden in the car without problems. Her best home would be a more quiet one that she can get more one on one attention. She would be great for an older couple, or single person that wants a nice companion. She doesn’t seem to be the social butterfly but very content with being home. If you think this sounds like a good fit for you, put in an application. She is a wonderful dog and a head turner for sure. Her adoption fee is $400 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Meet Freckles Wigglebottom! Freckles is a sweet, happy little guy with a BIG personality! He’s about a year old and has tons of energy. He loves to play, explore, and be right in the middle of whatever is going on. He’s also super curious and always seems excited to see what’s next. Take a look at this cutie in action then come back to read more! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-luwTeqhjZ4 One of the best things about Freckles is that he’s actually a pretty quiet boy, he doesn’t really bark! He’s a very enthusiastic eater, though, and definitely doesn’t believe in taking his time with his food. He’ll happily let his person handle his food if needed, which is a big plus. He’s still young and learning, so his leash skills are a work in progress. He can also be a little nervous about getting into the car and may need some help and encouragement. Freckles lives with an older dog who would much rather relax than play, while Freckles is always ready for a game! Because of their different energy levels, they’re usually kept separate. He’s also been around cats from a distance and did well. Freckles is just a fun, playful, curious little guy who would do best with someone who can keep up with his energy and continue helping him learn. Once he gets his playtime in, he’s happy to settle down and enjoy some chill time with his people.
