Story
Simba is about 3 years old and was an owner surrender along with his mom and sister (both adopted). His mom looked just like full corgi, dad unknown. His sister was heavier than he is and also looked more corgi. Simba has a corgi like face but a shorter, thinner torso and longer legs. He is a small boy at right around 20 lbs. He is great with all dogs, people and cats. He does well in a crate and likes to cuddle. He is not a runner and always stays near the house eventhough he has 40 acres to roam around on. He is the perfect small dog. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tacoma, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, heartworm tested (negative). Adoption fee: $550 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Onyx is a unicorn stuck in a Corgi body - he's essentially an angel that sheds.  This infectiously happy boy is determined to have the best time living life to the fullest.  Adventure is his total goal every day and playing fetch is his best sport. Onyx will play fetch with a tennis ball until he passes out.  The aftermath is that he falls asleep at your feet and snoozes for a long time in the deepest contentment.  For this favorite sport and pasttime, we will say that a fenced yard is required for him and your peace of mind.  This 3 year old, 24 pound pure bred Corgi is wonderful on walks with the foster mom and her own forever dog and she reports that he prances like he is in a Christmas Parade.   Squeaky toys are a BIG definite for him and he has never met one that he did not crunch down on to see just how it sounds and feels in his mouth.  Onyx is great in a crate and we are looking for a home that he is not crated for work days away of 9 hours from his owner.  He could do it but he would not be very happy.  He is a velcro dog and just yearns for the humans in his life to let him be their shadow going everywhere together.  Speaking of going....he is a great car rider and co-pilot.  At night he would love to sleep in the bed with you or right beside you on his bed on the floor.  Again... he will promise to be your sidekick in life. He is an expert cuddler and love.  He is not a big barker either but will alert when it is required for him to let you know someone is approaching.  He doesn’t bark unless it’s fully necessary (his radar-like ears serve as an alarm system for squirrels, amazon deliveries, garage doors opening, seeing one of us pick up the leash to go for walks). But 98% of the time, he doesn’t make any noise at all.  We can label him a snack thief and a lover of Greenies and the token belly rub that all confident dogs allow from their people.  He has a strong love language that he has perfected.  He is wonderful with all other dogs.  We do not know about cats currently.  The major thing about Onyx is that he is an active boy and he needs a family that will mirror his zest for life and share his active lifestyle.  Get a tennis ball launcher and provide him with another playful dog to talk to and walk with and play and his life will be perfection and so will yours!!!  Please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested.   We transport from Nashville, Tn where we are based and stop at various designated transport locations on our weekend trips northward. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 27, 2026, 10:53 pm

Story
Meet Star — and yes, the name fits her perfectly. &#226&#156&#168A.t 3 years old and 22 pounds, this purebred Corgi is every bit the refined little lady she believes herself to be. Star considers herself royalty. She prefers to hold court from the sofa, watching life unfold around her, rather than participating in the chaos. She is not here for roughhousing, high energy, or sharing the spotlight — she is here to be adored.   Star recently lost her home when her family decided to focus on breeding Saint Bernards. Unfortunately, Corgis and Saints don’t always blend well, and Star found herself needing a new beginning. Thankfully, Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in and promised her a future where she would be treasured.   And treasured she deserves to be.   Star is housebroken, crate trained (though she truly doesn’t need one), and perfectly behaved in the home. She walks beautifully on leash, is non-destructive, and has wonderfully low energy. She can live peacefully with other dogs but has no interest in playing or snuggling with them — her heart belongs to her people.   She can be a bit reserved at first. This sudden life change has been confusing for her. But once she settles in, she bonds deeply and simply wants to soak up all the love her family is willing to give.   She has been fully vetted and is healthy — something truly special in rescue. Star is currently in Nashville, TN, and we transport to the Northeast every weekend.   If you’re ready to pamper a little Queen who will quietly and loyally fill your home with grace, please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at:ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comFebruary 28, 2026, 9:06 pm
