Story
Toby is a 5 year old male corgi/lab mix who was rescued from a severe hoarding situation. Because of this, he feels safest with other dogs and must go to a home with another friendly dog to show him the ropes. He does prefer dogs of his size or larger. He doesn’t often play with other dogs, but he really loves to cuddle with them. He is a very quiet boy and is house trained. He is still very timid when it comes to pets or being leashed. His foster mama is working with him but he was never properly socialized when he was young due to his living conditions. It is also very important to keep him secure and thus he will require a fenced backyard. With a yard, he is 100% potty trained and runs back to the door immediately after doing his business to be let back in. Favorite activities include following his dog bestie around the house, following his foster mama around the house when his bestie is outside, and napping hard on the couch. Toby has a history of seizures that occurred approximately once monthly prior to being on medications. He presently receives a seizure medication and an anxiety medication once daily every day and since starting these medications he has not had any further seizures. He will need to continue these medications likely his whole life so his forever family will need to be ok with that and commit to regular vet visits. If you are interested in meeting Toby, please fill out an application via our website at https://therescueproject.net/adoption-application and we will get back to you via email once your application has been reviewed. If you have further questions please feel free to reach out to us at adoptionstrp@gmail.com. Toby's adoption fee is $200 and includes age appropriate vaccines, neuter, microchip, deworm, heartworm testing.

Story
Hello, my name is Joy! I am sweet and lovable and would make a perfect companion (and best friend) in a calm, peaceful home. I have a mature, intelligent, and quiet demeanor. I am a people-pleaser and listen to every word you say! To truly be my happiest, these are the things I should have: -To be around people most of the time! I cannot stress enough that my biggest need is to be with my humans. I can be left alone, but I will not relax until you get home. I am truly happiest when I can be near you. -Going for a daily walk. I am quiet and reserved, so I have a lot of energy I need to get out. I get SUPER excited for my walks! I tend to bark at other dogs and cats while I'm on a walk, so I could definitely use some help when it comes to redirecting my energy and attention. I am fully potty trained. In fact, I would score myself 10 out of 10 for being a very good girl, holding my potty until I get outside. My foster moms also says that I'm not destructive at all. I won't mess with your furniture or objects around the home, even when you're away. I think my kennel is okay, but I prefer to sleep in the bed with my humans at night. My favorite activities include going on car rides, soaking up the sun in my fenced backyard, and looking out the window. I'm quiet as a mouse 95% of the time, but I like to bark at people, cats, and dogs walking outside. Speaking of dogs, I'm not very interested in them. I prefer to hang out with people instead! I am good with kids if they are calm with me. I'm very timid and will leave the room if I get scared. If you think we'd be a good match, have your people call my people! Hope to meet you soon!
