Story
Farrah | 8 years old | 50 lbs | Corgi mix? | Dog, cat, people friendly! Farrah is happiness on four legs. She has the best and sweetest personality and lights up a room! She has a cheerful, go-with-the-flow attitude, and settled immediately into her foster home. She's very affectionate and will cuddle with anyone who is offering. It seriously can't be overstated how bright, sunshiney, and loving Farrah is. She's also such a good girl. She walks beautifully on leash and always turns to check in with you, she has no separation anxiety or resource guarding, and she's fully housetrained, and responds well to corrections. She's got a very balanced energy level, enjoying both activity and downtime. She loves to spend time outside and play with toys and walks are a highlight of her day. Farrah is currently living with a dog and a cat and is respectful and friendly with both. She loves all people and while she hasn't been around kids, she would likely do well in a home with them. The person who adopts this golden girl will be so lucky. She's very special and so full of love and joy. She will also settle into your life like she's been there the whole time, and you'll wonder what life was even like before her. Story
Ricky is an approximately14 year-old neutered male Corgi (best guess) mix weighing approximately 40 pounds.  Ricky came into rescue when his owner of 10 years was no longer able to provide for him.   Speaking of Dogs quickly discovered that Ricky had bladder stones when he first arrived.  The stones have been successfully removed and he has fully recovered. He is currently on potassium citrate tablets 2x a day which he takes with his meals.  He is also on veterinary food to prevent crystals in his urine.  His last vet check showed that he is doing well and is crystal free.  He is happy and very proud of his speedy recovery and 10 pound weight loss!!!   Ricky is a loving and loyal dog who believes he is the perfect size to sit in your lap.  He adores putting his head on your lap and getting his ears rubbed. He will lean into your legs and put a paw in your lap if you stop petting him before he has had enough.    Ricky has 2 or 3  thirty minute walks each day as well as zoomies in the fully fenced backyard to help him maintain a healthy weight. He also thoroughly enjoys playing tug with his toys. Ricky is fully housetrained and sleeps throughout the night.  He has his own bed during the day but sleeps with his foster Mum at night.   He is also excellent at riding in the car.  He  looks forward to visiting his foster "Grandma" every chance he gets.  He loves it when Grandma rubs his belly and tells him he is a good boy.   He can also be left alone in the house for 4 or 5 hours at a time without incident. He will also let you know when he wants to go out for a pee break. Ricky can be vocal and will alert his foster family to anything he perceives to be unusual in his surroundings.  This includes people and other dogs. Ricky is the only pet in the house and he prefers to be the centre of attention.  He loves to watch tv with his people and happily waits to be told he can get up on the couch.  He also waits to be told he can go get his breakfast and dinner.  Best of all Ricky knows not to be underfoot when people are cooking in the kitchen.  He is a clever dog who learns quickly with positive reinforcement training.    Currently Ricky is working on his impulse to bark when people come to the door or pass him on the street.  Ricky can be redirected with a treat and then happily meets new people with big tail wags.  He has made friends with many of the neighbours. Ricky is more reactive to other dogs he may pass on his walks.    To help Ricky on his walks he wears a halti with a double lead to his collar.  While still a work in progress, Ricky is making improvements seeing other dogs on the street and associates the word "bed" with a direction to settle down.  Ricky also knows the following commands:  sit, stay, down, and off and pee. If you are looking for a smart, happy, playful, loyal and loving friend who wants to be your BFF then Ricky is the dog for you.  Here is a link to our adoption application:  https://www.speakingofdogs.com/adoption/dog-adoption-application-2/ Due to time constraints, we cannot respond to every email asking for more information on a dog. Meet Peach   Name: Peach Age: 5 months Sex: Spayed Female Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Color: Brown & White Weight: 5.8 kg (12.8 lbs) Height: 32 cm (12.6 in)   Rescue Story Peach and her siblings were abandoned in the mountains and eventually ended up in a municipal shelter. Sadly, they were placed on the euthanasia list before being rescued and given a second chance at life.   Personality with People Peach is a sweet and affectionate puppy who loves people. She happily approaches both familiar faces and strangers, enjoys being petted, and often rubs against people for attention. She can be comfortably picked up with an arm under her belly, and once she feels comfortable, she’ll even roll over to show her belly.   Personality with Other Dogs Peach is friendly and social with other dogs. She enjoys greeting both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play. She is generally most comfortable with dogs of a similar size. If another dog challenges her, she prefers to avoid conflict rather than respond. While she enjoys canine companionship, very high-energy dogs can sometimes feel overwhelming to her.   Cats Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but a cat test can be arranged.   Energy Level Peach has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but after exercise, she settles down nicely and relaxes.   Walking & Leash Skills Because she has limited walking experience, Peach may freeze when she encounters something unfamiliar or scary. However, she is highly food-motivated and quickly regains confidence when encouraged with treats and positive guidance.   Additional Notes No food guarding toward people or other dogs Rarely barks Calm and quiet in a kennel/crate Currently eliminates outdoors in the exercise yard Gentle, easygoing temperament   Peach is a loving, gentle puppy looking for a family that will continue building her confidence and show her how wonderful the world can be. With her affectionate nature and sweet personality, she is sure to become a cherished companion. Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook and Instagram! Tully   Name: Tully Age: 3 years Breed: Welsh Corgi Mix Sex: Spayed Female Color: Brown & White Weight: 7.2 kg (15.9 lbs) Height: 33 cm (13 in) at the shoulder   Rescue Story   Tully was rescued from a municipal shelter along with her puppies. Thankfully, all of her puppies have already found loving homes, and now it is Tully’s turn to find a family of her own.   ‍‍‍ Personality with People   Tully is an affectionate, social, and people-loving girl. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, leans in for affection, and enjoys being petted.   She loves women, men, and children alike, including children under 13 years old. Tully will often approach kids on her own to ask for pets and attention.   She is comfortable being picked up with an arm under her belly and, once she trusts someone, she will gladly roll over for belly rubs. If you stop petting her too soon, don’t be surprised if she politely asks for more!   Personality with Other Dogs   Tully is just as friendly with dogs as she is with people. She eagerly greets both familiar and unfamiliar dogs and often invites them to play.   She is especially gentle and nurturing with younger dogs and puppies. In fact, puppies with their own mothers often choose to follow Tully because of her sweet and caring personality.   She generally gets along best with dogs that are similar in size or smaller than herself.   Cats   Tully has not been tested with cats, but a cat test can be arranged for approved applicants.   Energy Level   Tully has a moderate energy level. She enjoys outdoor adventures and activities, but once exercise time is over, she is happy to relax quietly by your side.   Walks & Exercise   Because Tully required medical treatment after her rescue, she has not had many opportunities for regular walks yet. However, she naturally follows people well, has shown no fear of being outdoors, and is expected to continue gaining confidence with consistent walks and positive experiences.   Additional Information   No food guarding toward people or other dogs Friendly and easygoing temperament Calm and quiet in a kennel or crate Currently accustomed to outdoor potty habits   May bark at unfamiliar people Can be vocal when asking for attention or something she wants   Ideal Home   Tully would thrive in a home looking for a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys being close to both people and other dogs. Her friendly nature, moderate energy level, and compact size make her a wonderful fit for many different households, including families with respectful children or another friendly dog.   After raising her puppies and watching them find homes of their own, it’s finally Tully’s turn to be someone’s beloved family member.   Could Tully be the missing piece of your family? Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Gangcheol Age: About 2 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Jindo – Corgi Mix Color: Brown Weight: 14kg / 31lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I used to live at a scrapyard, where I was expected to guard the place. But I wasn’t very good at it. Instead of barking, I would wag my tail and happily greet anyone I met—even strangers. I’d roll over for belly rubs without a second thought, just happy to be around people. One day, I was given a chance to leave that life behind. That’s when I received my name, Gangcheol, a wish for me to grow strong and walk toward a brighter future. Now I’m safe, just as loving as ever, and ready to find a family who will cherish me for who I truly am—a dog who simply loves people.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Gangcheol, a sweet and easygoing dog with endless charm. I’m the kind of dog who will happily roll over and show my belly even to someone I’ve just met—I just love people that much! I’m also very tolerant and gentle, so I’m comfortable being touched anywhere. I have a great appetite, a playful and cheeky personality, and my short legs give me that adorable Jindo-Corgi charm that people can’t resist. I’m friendly, affectionate, and full of lovable quirks. I’m ready to become your loyal and easygoing companion. If you’re looking for a well-mannered buddy with a big heart, I might be the perfect match for you.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a very loving dog! I don’t just cuddle with people I know — I’ll happily walk up to new people, rub against them, and let them hold me in their arms and pet me right away. I’ll even roll over and show my belly to someone I just met — it’s my way of saying I feel safe and would love some belly rubs! · With Dogs: When I meet new dogs, I can feel a little unsure at first, so I appreciate having a bit of time to observe and adjust. Once I do, I get along well – I’m generally very friendly and comfortable with dogs who are around my size, and I also get along well with smaller pups. Friends with very high energy can feel a bit overwhelming for me, so I tend to do better with calmer, more gentle companions. I enjoy peaceful and easygoing friendships with other dogs! · With Cats: When I see a cat during a walk, I might look at out of curiosity, but I’ll follow my person nicely without any trouble. I’m a good listener and happy to stay focused on my human.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy outdoor activities like walks and exploring, and after some fun outside, I’m happy to settle down and rest quietly at home. I have experience going on walks and generally follow my person well. Sometimes, I may pull a bit when I want to go in a certain direction, but I stay connected and listen. If something scary appears, I might crouch down low to the ground because I feel nervous. With patience and gentle guidance, I’ll grow more confident and become an even better walking companion!   TRAINING & HABITS I don’t guard my food from people at all. But if another dog comes too close while I’m eating, I might give a little growl to say, “This is my food.” When I’m placed in a kennel, I stay calm and settle down nicely. I’m comfortable using both indoor pee pads and going potty outside, so I can adjust easily to your routine. However, if I go somewhere new, I might feel the urge to do a little marking at first. With guidance and consistency, I can learn the house rules.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES When in a new environment, I might feel the urge to do a little marking at first. With guidance and consistency, I can learn the house rules.   Gangcheol's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2689900##
