Story
We are currently fostering my stepmother’s 3 dogs as she has been admitted to memory care along with my father. Angel is a dachshund/corgi mix. She is approximately 8 years old. She has doe eyes, is very sweet, and will give you good companionship. She is a quiet observer, but will also let you know if something is awry outside. She is obedient and house-trained. She is very protective of other animals. She is good around cats and livestock. We have cats, a ducks and pigs, as well as other small dogs. Angel was a runner and would benefit from a good fence and gate. Since living with us, we have seen a positive change in this behavior, but will need the protection for this transition. She needs a home with lots of attention. She often has difficulty with transitions and stops eating. We have found some tricks to help and she has regained the weight lost from the transition during fostering. She really is a sweet dog.

Story
Hank is a Cowboy Corgi! His mom is a pure bred Welsh Corgi and his dad is a pure bred Blue Heeler. His dad’s mom was a Red Heeler and out of the litter, Hank was the only pup that came out with the Red Heeler colors - he’s super special! Hank needs a home with a fenced in yard because he likes to go play around the neighborhood if he is not fenced in, which is the problem we are currently dealing with. We live on a large piece of property and my other two dogs never run off so they are out of their small fence area all the time, leaving Hank lonely in the fence. We feel bad about it and would love to find him a home with people who have time to play with him. He would make a great inside dog. We had him inside for a period of time when he was younger but I have allergies so it could not be a permanent arrangement for me. He has a funny personality and loves to play. We’ve worked on fetch and he is good at it and very smart which is a known characteristic for this breed. He is fast too!

If you would like more information about Titan or are interested in adopting him, please send an email to ruizarlet19@gmail.com Unfortunately, due to loss of income I have moved from a house to an apartment. My schedule has changed, and now I am not able to properly care for my baby. I know the best thing for Titan is to find a home where he will have more attention and care. Titan is laid back; we call him Ole man. He loves to be hugged but does not bother anyone for attention. He is patient and very kind. Story
SMALL SIZE -- BIG PERSONALITY  DOB 12/1/23, weight 22 lbs. Here’s Brody, the epitome of a small pup with a big personality! This sweet boy has an "affectionate heart." He is quick to bond, latches to his human, and goes where they go. He lights up when he's around his human. During quiet time, Brody loves to snuggle next to his human on the sofa and, if not allowed there, then he curls up on his dog bed or in the crate. With a playful spirit, Brody is always ready for tail-wagging fun. He loves to play fetch anytime during the day, but the mornings are his favorite, and he will bring you his favorite toy as an invitation to play. Soft treats are Brody's favorite, as well as real-meat treats. Brody is eager to please and brings joy wherever he goes. This vocal pup expresses himself frequently with a variety of cute sounds. He squeals when he wants the human's food, yips when he wants attention, growls when he plays and wants to keep his human away from other pups, and belts out happy barks when playing. Brody plays well with other dogs -- regardless of size. Though he mainly plays with the smaller dogs in his foster home, on occasion he runs around with the resident pups who are much larger than he is. This boy knows his name, comes when called, sits for treats sometimes, and is completely housebroken. He uses the extra-large dog door without issues. All in all, Brody is a great pup (and a smart one, too)!! HOPE ID D25-1219-0055 Brody’s $200 adoption fee includes the neuter, vaccines, microchip, negative heartworm test, negative fecal test, and monthly prevention for heartworms and fleas.  To apply online, go to: http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php.  Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt from us but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started. If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Brody will be at this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com and a volunteer will get back to you.
