Story
Rupert is the kind of dog who makes people smile before they've even said hello! With his adorable Aussie/Corgi good looks, expressive face, and happy personality, he's impossible to resist. This charming boy is equal parts playful and relaxed. His rescuer said he was well-behaved, loved his toys, enjoyed a good nap, and got along great with her two Pit Bulls. He's also a bit vocal, so he's always happy to share his thoughts! At the shelter, Rupert can't wait for his daily walks and believes every person he meets is a new friend just waiting to say hello. The volunteers are big fans—and the feeling is definitely mutual. If you're looking for a handsome, fun-loving companion with a friendly heart and a zest for life, Rupert is ready to brighten your days and keep you smiling.Est. Story
Meet Mac – A Mighty Little Pup We’d like to share the story of a very special pup named Mac (short for Makenzie). Born the runt of her litter with severe limb deformities, Mac was unable to walk and initially given a poor prognosis. But Mac’s story didn’t end there. Thanks to Scout’s Honor Rescue, she was evaluated by the team at Houston Veterinary Specialists, who believed that with corrective surgery on her back legs, she could have a real chance at a happy, active life. Mac proved them right. With her trademark spunk and resilience, she recovered beautifully from major orthopedic surgery. Today, she spends her days chasing lizards in her foster’s backyard and soaking up naps in warm sunbeams. While Mac’s surgery was a great success, her early deformities mean she is more susceptible to injury and already has some arthritis. She will require a bit more advanced veterinary care as she ages. She also may eventually need corrective surgery on her front left leg. That means she really needs an amazing pet parent, someone who will give her the love, care, and medical support she deserves (and fortunately for us, we know quite a few amazing pet parents)! Mac gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, she truly loves everyone she meets. If you think you might be the perfect match for Mac, please click the link below to fill out an adoption application. https://scoutshonor.org/dogs/little-mac-pup  August 7, 2026, 3:36 pm

Kitsy is a beautiful 5-month-old mixed breed puppy weighing approximately 24 pounds. Based on her petite mom, Fira (about 18 pounds), we expect Kitsy to stay on the smaller side of medium when fully grown. Kitsy has the sweetest personality. She’s affectionate, gentle, and loves being close to her people. She’s a true Velcro puppy who enjoys cuddling on the couch, joining you for walks, or simply hanging out wherever you are. She has a calm, loving temperament that makes her easy to fall in love with. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a respectful play style. Kitsy enjoys playing but knows when to take breaks, making her an excellent companion for dogs of all ages and energy levels. She’s also at the perfect age to learn that cats are friends with proper introductions. Kids are another one of Kitsy’s favorite things. She loves attention, cuddles, and being included in family activities, making her a wonderful addition to an active family or a quieter home looking for a loyal companion. Kitsy is the daughter of sweet Fira and the sister of Reva, and she has inherited the same gentle, loving nature that makes this family so special. Kitsy at a Glance: 5 months old Approximately 24 pounds Expected to stay on the smaller side of medium Sweet, affectionate, and gentle Velcro puppy who loves being with her people Dog friendly with respectful play manners Great with children Young enough to learn to live with cats Loves cuddles, companionship, and making new friends Kitsy is currently being fostered in Texas, and transport is available to approved adopters throughout many areas of the country.
