Meet Remi — A Sweet Shoulder-Perching Snugglebug Ready to Shine ❤️ Remi (formerly known as Tiny) is a 6-year-old neutered male Chihuahua mix with a soft, fluffy coat and an even softer heart. He spent his entire young life in a home with many other dogs, and when everything changed, this gentle boy suddenly found himself frightened, confused, and alone. At the shelter, he was tossed into a kennel, evaluated by strangers, and left completely abandoned. Feeling trapped and terrified, Remi did what scared dogs often do—he barked, cowered, trembled, and hid in the corner of his “room,” hoping the unfamiliar people would go away so he could feel safe again. Because of his fear, others passed him by. But Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows stepped in and brought Remi—and his extended canine family—into safety, compassion, and understanding. Now, this sweet boy is blossoming beautifully. He enjoys being petted, cuddled, and held, and he has discovered that human shoulders make an excellent perch! In his foster home, he happily sits on her shoulders (and yes—sometimes even her head!) like a fluffy little parrot. Remi is silly, affectionate, and eager to bond once he feels secure. Remi will thrive with an adopter who understands that trust grows slowly but surely. Give him patience, space, and a calm environment, and you will be rewarded with a deeply loving, devoted companion. He is current on vaccinations and microchipped, and yes… Remi really was his name! 🥰 If you’re looking for a tender-hearted cuddle buddy with a quirky sense of humor, Remi might just be your perfect match.
