Meet Winnie, a spirited 2-to-3-year-old Dachshund mix who is ready to bring a mountain of personality into her forever home. Winnie is truly a "mountain goat" in a small package. She is incredibly energetic, agile, and loves to explore the world on her daily walks. When she isn’t keeping the small wildlife out of the backyard or patrolling the neighborhood, she is a dreaming of her next adventure. At night, she burrows deep under the covers to find the warmest spot in your bed. While Winnie is a sweet soul and gets along with other dogs, she is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. Due to her guarding behavior when she finds human food on the floor, she requires a home without young children. Winnie is perfectly fine sharing her space with feline friends. Winnie’s Ideal Home: Prefered to be the only dog: reactive to other dogs if human food is on the ground, (cats are okay!). Adults and older children: A quiet home without young children due to her reactive behavior with human food on the floor. Active Lifestyle: Someone who loves long walks and high-energy play.
