Hi my name is Cookee, and I'm the sweetest treat of a pup that you'll ever meet. People say I remind them of cookies and cream when I give them sweet kisses on the nose or bump up and snuggle with them when they're feeling down. I am a Dachshund-Basset mix and medium sized about 30# full grown. Sitting on people's couches or laps is my favorite pastime as I get to snuggle close to the people I love, which is practically everyone! I LOVE OTHER DOGS TOO!! I definitely want a home with other dogs :) As I am a bit on the older side and lived on the streets until I was saved with my babies in my tummy. I have been living at my foster home and am ready for my forever HOME!! I will need a patient and loving family to give me a good life of exercise- LOL, playtime, treats, love, affection, and belonging. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX)

So there we were, living in a home... when BAM! One day the family up and MOVES WITHOUT US!!! We had NO IDEA what was happening! No Dear John letter, no food and water left for us, nowhere to go and no one to take care of us..... WELP, the MOVERS took us in!! I mean, that was amazing! So we got to the rescue because hardworking moving men cared enough about us to save us and find us a rescue!! Now we are loving life in our foster home, our foster family is SO COOL! Lots of excitement, fun people to meet and all kinds of shade/playtime! We are dachshund mixed pups, all different colors but lowriders for sure :) Our mom is the sweetest and most FUN mom! She seems to be a puppy herself! Adopt one of us and give us the chance to write our next BEST chapter as a beloved member of your family!! When Irish eyes are smiling, does that mean they are happy? Or maybe they had too many pints at the pub? My eyes are smiling, and I am a non drinker, just want to have full disclosure here! Even though my eyes were smiling in these pictures. I was desperate for help for my little one, Lewis. You see, he was dying...full of internal and external parasites he really had no fight left in him and I knew it as his mother... so I used my Irish eyes to get us saved. AND IT WORKED!! Our lives are do amazing now, Lewis is alive and well after some very intense care, and ADOPTED INTO AN AMAZING HOME!!! I am not ever producing more babies, so it is all good! Now I get my turn for love, comfort and safety and a FOREVER HOME!! I am an adorable girl, about 50# of low-rider basset/heeler-ness. I am great with other dogs and like to play keep away! I am ready when you are, do your stuff so we can ride off into the sunset, in air conditioning, of course! Midge is a very gentle Basset Hound and Chinese Shar pei mix looking for a forever home. She was taken in from a bad hoarding situation and is now doing living in a REAL foster home with other happy and loved friends and food and medical care too!! I am learning everyday what it means to be man's best friend and it is pretty sweet :) Midge came to the rescue with little hair and skin infections and entropion on both eyes (meaning her eyelashes were scraping her eyes every minute of every day..... think about how miserable it is to have ONE eyelash in your eye ;( and STILL a sweet and loving personality, despite how she was physically. The rescue fixed all my stuff up and now I have gorgeous, shiny and thick black fur and my eyes don't hurt anymore!!! She would be best in a home with another calm and confident dog. Gabby is a sweetheart that loves love! I got her for my 16th birthday at just a few weeks old . She stayed with my grandma while I was away at college, she has been with me ever since . She is used to being the only baby . She enjoys naps and going for walks and eating snacks she loves veggies! She gravitates to older people, young kids tend to make her nervous. She does fine with other animals she just need a minute to adjust. She is just a joy to be around and she randomly acts silly.
