Hans is a very lovable 10 year old Sausage dog. He loves cuddles and walks. He however does not love his back touched- long back, must be sensitive and he will let you know. He can snip and you when he doesn’t want to be picked up for that bath. Unfortunately, he snapped at my toddler because she fell on him. He was a rescue and didn’t learn not to bite down when he feels threatened. He’s not safe for my home, but he is a sweatheart who could warm up a home for someone who doesn’t have children and other pets.

Hi there! My name is Shiloh and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I am a 5 year old, Beagle/ Basset Hound mix who came to SB Humane in search of a loving home to call my own. I am a cautious fella, who does not give his love away too quickly. I like to get to know you before I consider you a friend. Once we're pals though, I am ready to stick by your side throughout our days. I would love a home that is willing to give me lots of space and time to blossom into my true good boy self. Adoptions are open 12pm-4:30pm every day, except Wednesdays, and no appointment is needed. Like all SBH animals, when I am adopted I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoptions also include a certificate for a complimentary post-adoption veterinary exam from a local clinic and our partners at Hills Science Diet will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home. Need some supplies? Both SB Humane Campuses have retail centers stocked with everything you need, at comparable prices, and your purchase helps support our mission. Hope to see you soon!
