Story
Meet Dewey a 10 month old mix with a big heart and a slightly bigger than expected Doxie body to match! He may not fit the classic low rider mold perfectly, but he brings every ounce of the Dachshund charm affectionate, devoted, and always eager to smother you in kisses. This upbeat pup is full of energy and loves staying active. Walks are one of his favorite parts of the day, and he is always ready to kick it up a notch for a good jog or adventure. With his playful personality and sweet, snuggly nature, Dewey is the ideal companion for anyone who wants a loyal buddy to keep up with an active lifestyle and warm your lap afterward. If you are searching for a fun, energetic, endlessly loving friend, Dewey might just be your perfect match! For more information on how to adopt, please call the shelter at 863 324 5227 to see if this pet is still available for adoption. Then come to the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 10:30 to 6 Tuesday through Friday, Saturday from 10:30 to 4 closed 1-2 for lunch and the last Friday of every month. Come meet Dewey your new adventure buddy is waiting!

Buddy is about 3 years old and weighs 15 pounds — the perfect small-to-medium size for cuddles and companionship. He came to us as a medical rescue from animal services with a serious wound on his neck, along with evidence of an old broken front leg and pelvis. Thanks to lots of love and care, Buddy has made an amazing recovery and is ready for his happily ever after!  Buddy gets along great with other dogs and loves making new canine friends. He’s especially treat motivated — which makes training (and winning his heart) extra easy.
