Story
Rusty was a stray, rescued from the street in 2020 at 18 months old. He is a sweet boy who is housetrained. He is 26 pounds and is a Dachshund mixed with what I think is a pitt/terrier. He is strong for such a little pup. He knows how to sit and stay and will come when called. He does best when crated when you are away, or when taken out regularly when you are home. He would do quite well with a fenced in yard and lots of time to chase lizards. He is a sweet boy who loves snuggles and his toys. I need to rehome him because my kids are now grown and I am not home enough to care for him like he deserves.

We are looking for a loving new home for our sweet senior dog, Levy. This is not an easy decision for our family, but with our busy schedules and young kids, we know he deserves more time, attention, and companionship than we’re currently able to give him in these important years of his life.He is a gentle, loving dog with a calm personality and a big heart. He is wonderful with kids, gets along great with cats and other dogs, and truly just wants to be near his people. Roo came to us along with many other dogs from a hoarder house. He was full of fleas/parasites, under socialized and terrified. He’s been in foster care learning the ropes and doing well. He needs a home with another dog as they give him confidence needed to thrive. Dottie & Dorothy are 2 Dachshund mixed girlies that deserve a true chance at a happy life after all they’ve been through 💔 These girls came to SSBR after being taken in to a rural Animal Control facility along with dozens of other dogs. Neglected, uncared for, bred many times and disposed of. That’s the life they’ve endured… until now. Now, they have a chance to be loved, cared for and cherished. These girls really cling to each other and we are hoping the power of social media can help us keep them together in their forever home! They are really great dogs despite all they’ve been through— kennel trained, seem housebroken, not barkers, good with other dogs. Docile, mild mannered smaller girls.
