Story
We have had Copper since the day he was born. He is currently 4 years old. He has issues with potty training. He will go outside but then comes inside and goes again. He needs someone who has the time and Patience to train him properly. Copper sleeps in a cage with a blanket. (He wont sleep without it) however he pees on the blanket so daily washing is necessary. He is use to sleeping/playing with his actually Mom (shes 9) so he will need to adapt being alone. He has a grass allergy that seems to be year round but worse in the summer. This only affects his belly and needs allergy meds from the vet. Nothing over the counter works. He also needs his rabies shot updated. (Expired Nov 2025) He uses stairs to get up on the couch, no issues with his legs. Barks at everyone he doesn’t know. Will never bite.

Meet This Sweet Little Guy! Age: 5 months Size: Small (still growing!) Personality: Shy at first, super loving once he feels safe This adorable young pup may take a moment to warm up, but once he does, he turns into the ultimate cuddle bug. When he’s comfortable, he loves being close, soaking up affection, and curling up for snuggles. He’s a friendly, easygoing boy who gets along great with other dogs, cats, and kids, making him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. His gentle nature and loving heart will shine brightest with a patient family willing to give him a little time to build trust. Chopper's mom was a Beagle mix. Our best guess, Chopper appears to be a mix of Dachshund, Chihuahua and Terrier. Here’s what we're seeing: Large upright ears & expressive face → very Chihuahua-like Short legs and slightly long body → could hint at Dachshund influence (often called a Chiweenie) Smooth tan coat & athletic build → possibly mixed with a small terrier Either way, Chopper is 100% good dog that would make anyone's heart melt.

If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Hello everyone my name is Ghee...My foster parents named me this because I was a chubby little pup.  I am now a full grown pup who will be 2 yrs old come July (my DOB 7/29/2023).  I am your still a puppy at heart with lots of energy and spunk.  I get along great with other dogs and it would be best if my family already had another dog for me to grow up with.  I am not sure about cats and just like to bark at them.  (They never answer me back)  I would do best in a home with mature kids at least 7+ years and older.  My foster family did a DNA test on me so my breeds are correct and I have some of the best traits from both of them.  I am  lively, energetic, and playful and enjoying interactive playtime.  My foster mom says I  love to cuddle and seek attention but can be independent and sometimes to smart for my own good. (I am still in my puppy phase)  I am housetrained with a doggie door and get fed in my crate because I don't know boundaries yet and just like to sample all my foster brother and sister's food. I am spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  I am also on flea and hw preventative. Ghee's adoption fee is $500 -  Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups To apply to foster or adopt please fill out application at www.heidislegacydogrescue.com/apply-to-foster-or-adopt Thank you for completing the application. Story
Figgy is a very sweet girl. My husband got her for me as a present when she was just a couple months old. She is fixed, potty trained, crate trained and knows some basic commands. Unfortunately, our house has become a massive project that we were not planning on. Between my husband's work schedule and our children and all the work to do, we don't have the time, or frankly the energy to spend as much time playing with and training Figgy as we'd like to. She can no longer run around freely in the backyard because of the projects and when she's inside she is always trying to chase and play with my husband's cat. She's never been aggressive with him, but she's a decent bit bigger and he is definitely not a fan lol. Every dog we have brought her around, she is immediately friends with and loves playing with them. She's nice with everyone she meets but she can definitely get excited! She is a beautiful and sweet girl, I hope that you can give her the life we want for her.
