Story
Meet Elton! He is the cutest long wire-haired dachshund up for adoption! He is a sweet lap dog that would do well with someone who is home much of the time as he enjoys being with his human(s) and getting his cuddles and snuggles in much of the day. He is approximately 2 years old and only 9 pounds! The perfect size for your lap! Foster mom says anyone who meets this boy will absolutely fall in love with him as she has! He is a cuddlebug who just wants to be in a loving home. She says she has not used a crate with him and that he has not been destructive if left alone. However, he does get pretty whiny when he is left home. He is enjoying going places with her, especially now that she has figured out that if he's allowed to be up front with her (tethered) instead of in the back seat, it becomes much more enjoyable for both of them! He plays well with all her other dogs, big and small. He does show a bit of jealousy when he has to share her lap with another dog...but never any aggression. She has labeled him her velcro dog. She has even said, if it weren't for the other dogs she already has, she would most definitely keep Elton! He is just that loveable! He even does great on a leash, but with his great recall and velcro behavior, a leash is rarely needed in her yard as he will not venture from those human(s) he has bonded to! We do not have information on how he is with cats or children.  If you are interested in meeting sweet Elton, please contact us at 352-528-9888 today! He is all vetted, microchipped and ready to meet his furever human(s)!April 23, 2024, 11:24 am

Story
Finn is an amazing dog that wants to lay by your side on the couch and sleep in bed with you. He enjoys taking a sun bath in the morning. He isnt one to leave the house and go for a walk. Finn like to be left alone really and do everything on his own time. Finn would do best with a couple that doesnt have any kids. He loves to be loved on but he will let you know when that time is, he doesnt like it when you are in his face or trying to get home to love on you.
