Louie is a 3 year old, 14 pound Dachshund mix that was in a hoarding situation with 30 other dogs. A rescue came and took 15 dogs, leaving the others there, so animal came and confiscated the others. It has taken Louie a while to feel safe and comfortable and now he will not leave his foster mom's side. He would be happiest to be in his foster mom's lap 24/7. He has gotten along wonderfully with all of the dogs, the litter of pups, and the chickens in his foster home. Louie has been neutered, vaccinated, wormed, microchipped and is heartworm negative. 🐾 🩵Buttons is looking for his FOREVER HOME 🩵🐾 We just rescued these sweet chiweenies this weekend 2 were neutered today and 2 will be neutered Thursday so we are setting out to find their Forevers! They are a little shy at first so the ideal home would be someone who is dedicated to bringing them out of their shell, have a fenced yard and another confident dog. We will look at each application individually and pick the best application for the pup. 🩵 Buttons is the most outgoing of the 4, so he’s up first. He is a 5month old Chiweenie and weighs 9.5 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date with vaccines and preventatives. He is working on potty training and crate training. He is very sweet and loving once he sees you aren’t going to hurt him. These pups will need a patient adopter to help them build confidence as they had little human contact prior to their arrival. They are really coming around in the short time they have been here! His family said he was still full of life — they just didn’t think anyone would want an older dog. At 20 lbs, this handsome Dachshund is in great shape for his age! Poor little Tater. He was surrendered to a shelter in North Florida an transported to our rescue. He was adopted for less than a month until her adopter injured her leg causing her to be unable to care for him so she recently returned him. Now Tater Tot is afraid that he'll be abandoned so he follows his foster mom everywhere. This little 10 lb, 10 year old dog a ts like a puppy when leashed for a walk so his "pulling on the leash" is something that we're working on. Due to cataracts, he has some vision loss. Tater Tot has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. He's current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Tater's adoption fee is $50.
