Story
I had got Max after my first deployment for my daughter and I in 2015. I had found him on Craigslist luckily out of all places. Come to find out he was only 5 weeks old. We had to give him milk for a few weeks and get his strength up because one of his back legs were not strong enough. We have moved around to many difference places over my Army career. He has had a great life! He is a great cuddler and loves to be embraced. He is super friendly and lovable. His birthday is January 15, 2015. He is coming up on his 10th birthday. We had recently moved and he hasn’t been getting as much attention- I am now a single mom and do not have as much time as I once did. He just needs more love than I feel I am able to give him right now.

My pet Ziggy is 3 and a half. He is very smart, house trained, listens to commands, and is crate trained. We have given him so much love but has showed aggression since we have relocated and have had a baby. We have spent alot of time and money in training, unfortunately he has not broken the habit of resource guarding my husband and I. He loves treats, play time with other dogs and would thrive with someone who has a yard and no children. We have regularly taken him to Camp bow wow and he loves it there as well. He is a rescue from Puerto Rico and is updated on all shots and vaccines. He likes to lounge with you and get his ears rubbed. His back leg is shorter than the others but it does not cause him pain or slow him down.I am really hoping to find him a loving home where he can thrive and be his Ziggy self!

Consequently we are doubtful any are actually purebred. Sadly, they don't appear to know a lot about love or socialization. However, with our help (and yours) we believe that like their names, they will only get better with time. Meet Champagne, Malbec, Syrah, Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Riesling, Cabernet, Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, and Merlot. There is also Prosecco, who is expecting and is in foster care.) Due to their previous environment, they basically have had to rely on each other. Consequently, we believe that they will adjust quicker and be happier all around if they are adopted in pairs. They will need very patient adopters and no small children. Email staci@hsscg.org for an application and/or more information. Malbec, Syrah, Zinfandel, Riesling, Cabernet, Rose, Chardonnay, and Merlot are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on age appropriate vaccines and have tested negative for heartworms. Sauvignon, Champagne, and Pinot Grigio are heartworm positive and are available to go home as fosters to adopt.

Hey there, I’m Harry, and I’m a total daddy’s boy! I love hanging out with my favorite guy, whether it’s chilling on the couch or just being nearby. I’m not big on leashes (they’re just not my thing!), so a fenced yard would be good for me. I love being outside! I use pee pads since I have Cushing’s, which means I pee a bit more than most dogs. Just make sure they’re the big ones! I’m a bit hand-shy, but once I warm up, I’m all about the cuddles. I’ve learned how to hide under furniture when I want some alone time, but I promise I’ll come out for some love! Hi, I’m Carly, and once I get to know you, I’m full of playful energy! At first, I can be a little shy and timid, but my personality is really starting to shine. I love being outside—especially when I can run fast and chase squirrels. I even get the zoomies now and then! I’m still learning how to walk on a leash, so I’d do best in a home with a fenced yard where I can safely explore. I have some extra skin that needs to be kept clean to prevent irritation, but it’s no big deal—I don’t mind as long as it keeps me comfy. I’m not super vocal about needing to go outside, so I’ll need someone who can keep a close eye on me. But once you get me outside, I’m ready for fun!
