Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Sweets, and her sister, Zoey [also available for adoption] are new arrivals to the rescue. They appear to be Dachshund mixes.  Sweets is about 6 months old and weights about 11 pounds.  She is a delightful puppy that loves to play with toys and other dogs.  Sweets is timid and takes time to become comfortable in new environments.  She lacks confidence and takes cues from other dogs in the home.  Sweets would greatly benefit from a canine companion in her adoptive home. Once she is comfortable, she will be your #1 fan and shower you with puppy kisses. She has a short, sleek black coat, which in the right light, has chocolate highlights and shimmers.  She is working on housetraining and keeps her crate clean all night, sleeping though the night without incident. She is a happy pup that would love a forever home for the Holidays. Sweets is UTD on vaccines and microchipped.  She has an appointment for spay on December 10, 2023.   HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a    $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee    to change information.   Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! I'm Zoey!  Check out my beard!! I have more terrier traits than anything else. I play fetch! I love toys if you don’t have any that's ok I will find you one and we will play. I like my foster sister and there is a cat here not sure about that. I think I understand potting outside. I am not shy; I will climb right up and love you. Kids are ok I like to kiss them and sniff their ears.  Please come and meet me and make me yours.  Oh, I love to snuggle and just lay in your lap quietly too.   HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Romeo, oh such a suitable name for this goofy, loving dog. Romeo is a 9 year young Dachshund mix. He is great with other dogs and very sociable with humans. Very food motivated and he can hear the cheese wrapper from any distance. Romeo is looking for a permanent home, preferably one without stairs. The coordination in his rear legs is not perfect, but on flat ground he is as fast as the other dogs and he love to run and play wrestle. Romeo is not an early riser, he likes to sleep in on a soft bed close to the warm air vent.  Romeo is incontinent. Romeo has limited bladder control. He leaks urine when his bladder is full. He walks as he pees and is unaware of this, he could wear doggie diapers but he would need to be trained to keep them on. Romeo will not be able to become 100% housebroken due to his neurological problem.** If Romeo is let out often he keeps clean inside most of the time.** Romeo loves his human with ALL his heart . He has lots of needs but lots of love to give. This guy is definitely worth the work. If you think you're that special person who can help Romeo and give him a forever home fill out an application. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Spice! He is a 2 year old firecracker/cuddle bug mix.  He loves his person so, so much but he has a stranger danger alert system which means he prefers a quiet, adult only home. He has met dogs in his foster home and prefers females for friends. He enjoys going for walks and he has kept his kennel clean.  He needs a patient and loving family…might that be you?  We do not have a facility for you to visit.  WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to email  ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, you will want to complete the  ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP ,  which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find  a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.   November 28, 2023, 8:30 pm
