Meet Winnie – A Little Diva with a Big Heart!
Say hello to Winnie, a petite bundle of personality wrapped up in a sleek Dachshund frame. At just 2 years old and 12 lbs, this sweet and sassy girl is ready to find her forever family—one that will love her for the confident, playful, and affectionate pup she is.
Winnie was lovingly surrendered when her previous family could no longer care for her. She’s been well cared for and is both house-trained and crate-trained—the total package in a pint-sized pup!
Winnie is used to being the star of the show and prefers to be the only dog in the spotlight. She’ll let other dogs know with a bark or two that she’s the boss, but she is currently learning how to politely coexist with calm canine friends. She hasn’t met any cats yet, so we’re not sure what she’d think of them.
Winnie has lived with young children and truly enjoys their company. She’d thrive in a home with dog-savvy kiddos who understand she’s both delicate and a little bit of a diva. She LOVES toys and playing fetch, and has the playful energy to keep you entertained. An active family who’ll include her in adventures, walks, and plenty of playtime would be a dream come true for her.
Winnie pulls on leash (hey, there’s just so much to see!), but with some consistency and training, she’ll be a fantastic walking buddy. A fenced yard is a request that her previous family had for her as she enjoys her zoomies and outdoor time safely off-leash.
Winnie can be shy with strangers at first, but warms up with love and patience. She is an affectionate and cuddly girl once she knows you. She can be vocal when excited or uncertain, but is generally a quiet dog. She is smart and eager to please.
Winnie may be small, but she has a giant heart and is ready to share it with a family who will adore her—and include her in all of life’s adventures.
