Story
Pippa has a loving, loyal and fierce personality. She loves walks, chicken and rope toys. She needs time to warm up to new dogs but once she warms up to them she’s the best friend to them. She’s 26lbs and eats a diet of plain rice, chicken and veggies. She’s always happy to see you and has a moderate amount of energy. She mostly sleeps through the day and likes to play sporadically throughout the day. Her toys of choice are tough stuffed dog toys and rope toys. She does have an issue with resource guarding her food and bones. She is kennel trained and responds “go home pippa” that is her command to enter a kennel. She is very vocal when she needs to use the restroom and hardly ever goes to the restroom inside the house. She was born in April of 2019 and has been with me throughout my adolescence. Unfortunately we cannot afford to transport her to our new place of residence. We would love if she went to a safe and loving home.

Story
Meet Glitter Intelligent, affectionate, adorable, and eager to please! I can be a little sensitive to touch from people I don't know very well. I like to take things slow and really get to know you before we get touchy-feely. When we are better friends, I love to snuggle up for some belly rubs and cuddles! I am looking for someone that has experience with food and resource guarding. Some of the MAS staff and volunteers have been helping me practice self control with positive reinforcement training. I am very motivated by food, so training is like a fun game for me! I need consistent structure to help me control myself. I have been making leaps and bounds of progress with my training and protocols and I am eager to please, I know several commands and release cues such as "come", "down", "bed", "sit", "look", "lets go", "yes", and "ok". Glitter is such a joy to get to know. She has such a sweet and silly personality, it's nearly impossible to not love her, she is like a little molasses cookie! Growing a bond with any dog, is special; but especially a dog you know has been through a lot. There is such a rewarding feeling, knowing for this dog, you made a difference. Glitter deserves a safe loving home to get a second chance to experience what a family is. Please note that Glitter has a special meet-and-greet protocol that requires several visits, so she and her potential adopters can get to know each other before Glitter goes home. If you would like to apply to adopt Glitter, please submit an adoption application at www.mackenzies.info DOB: 12/14/2014 Meet-Your-Match Canine-ality color is: Orange Busy Bee! For safety's sake, we are looking for homes with physical fenced in areas. Please fill out our online adoption survey at www.mackenzies.info/adopt/adoption-survey-application/

Story
Sponsored Adoption Fee! Meet Calvin – a scruffy, playful 16-lb Dachshund/Poodle mix looking for his forever home. Calvin is a 1-year-old Dachshund/Poodle mix (our best guess!) weighing about 16 pounds. Fully grown and perfectly pocket-sized, this adorable little guy has a scruffy, wiry coat and soulful eyes that make it hard not to fall in love. Calvin is a happy, playful pup who loves other dogs and warms up to people quickly — though he may be a little shy at first. Once he’s comfortable, he’s all tail wags, curiosity, and affection. He would do well as an only dog or in a home with another playful pup. Calvin loves to play and can sometimes pester dogs who aren’t quite as enthusiastic about toys and games as he is. In his foster home, Calvin enjoys toys, attention from his people, and sleeps soundly in his crate at night. He is still working on house training and currently wears belly bands indoors. The good news is he was recently neutered and is already doing well with a consistent potty routine. Leash walking is still a work in progress, so a home with a fenced yard would be ideal. Calvin also thinks chasing cats is a very fun hobby, so any feline siblings should be confident, dog-savvy cats. Like many young dogs, Calvin is still learning what’s appropriate to chew. Shoes currently rank high on his list of “borrowable treasures,” so supervision and plenty of toys will help him continue learning good habits. Calvin’s adoption fee is sponsored. He is fully vetted for the year, neutered, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. If you think Calvin might be the perfect match for your home, please apply on our website:www.trackingintheshadows.com Once approved, we will set up a time for you to meet Calvin. Please be ready to take him home within 1–3 days after application approval. We do not accept electric/underground fences. All dogs and cats in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on core vaccines and preventatives. Applicants must live within one hour of Elkhart, Indiana.   ##2639103##
