Lory is ready for adoption Lory is a 12# Dachshund mix looking for a family. This cutie is loads of fun and personality. She is a little package of happiness. At 8 months old she has proven to be a smart little girl. Trapped by Kira and Selina  she adjusted to a routine and has learned that people are ok. Lory  catches on quickly to the routine of the house and has done great with housetraining. Along the way she has made many furry friends at our home. Dogs of all different sizes and personalities and she has accepted them all. Although some are far more fun than others. We have found that cats are fun to chase and torment. A home with no cats is required.  Lory also needs a fenced yard to zoom around in. If you have thought about adopting a dog that loves children or a walking partner. Maybe a playmate for your dog. Lory would be a great fit. She has so much to learn. She would excel in puppy classes and could even do agility. While she loves to play she is also a cuddle bug and gives lot's of kisses. With her short smooth coat grooming will be a breeze. Just wash and go. She definitely has the dachshund body and personality. Don't miss out. Finn Senior Doxie  came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky  where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet & happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building. His approx. birth date is 02/14/14 and he currently weighs 9.4#.This is a sweet guy! He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He is heart worm and tick born illness negative. He had a dental. His adoption donation is $300 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. Story
Rory is looking for a home!   Rory came to us after we humanely trapped her on the west side of Elkhart. She joined my home very fearful and unsure of people around her. She has slowly come out of her shell and is meeting new people much faster now.   Rory loves to play with all the dogs. Big and small it doesn't matter.  She is shy at the first intros.  Rory has been gaining confidence here with my dogs and has been a wonderful foster girl. In her free time you can find her playing with the other dogs, chewing on a bone or snoozing away in your lap.  She loves to snuggle.  Rory would do well in a fairly quiet household who will give her time to adjust to new people. She also would greatly benefit from some confidence courses.  She is currently fostered with a kiddo and after the first initial meet, shes been great with her!  I estimate her to be 6 months old and about 16 lbs. Nash is a Male Wirehair Dachshund mix DOB: June of 2025 Adoption fee: $175 I am a very sweet boy; I currently weigh around 25 pounds. I am a little shy with new people, but I warm up pretty quickly. I am only one year old, and I have already tested positive for heartworms. I am very healthy otherwise and have begun treatment. I seem to love other dogs. Pending a meet and greet, I should do well with another dog in the home. I have not been tested with cats at this time. I would prefer a home with a fenced yard. I may require it pending your location, previous experience, and/or other plans for containment. I may be okay in a home with older children, 12+. I would prefer a home with a good routine, something a bit more laid back and predictable. I am new to rescue, so they are still learning who I am and what I like.
