You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Meet Mini and Coco Puff! (Perfect Pairs: Doxy and Min-Pin!) This sweet, small, senior pair grew up together. When their owner passed away, they were dropped off at a shelter, leaving their whole lives upended and confused. Mini is a female dachshund mix and Coco Puff is a male min pin mix. Both of these dogs are pretty perfect. They are house-trained, laid back, and really just want a home to live out the rest of their lives. Mini is a little shy at first but she warms up quickly. Both dogs are quiet and very relaxed. They do well with other dogs and even with the resident kitty. They have not been kid-tested since being with DASH, but they have not shown any concerning signs of behavior. If you are ready to have affectionate and easy-going companionship, these two could not be more perfect for you. Double your fun! The adoption fee listed is for this perfect pair.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 17, 2024, 2:32 pm

Dachshund Labrador Retriever

Female, 2 yrs 2 mos
Columbus, OH
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Daisy and Donut are 2 yrs old. The perfect age as they are all grown out of the puppy stages. They are both housebroken and just the sweetest lovable dogs. They are current on all vaccinations and preventatives and have been spayed and neutered. Daisy is a little more high energy but not excessive. She is wonderful especially if she has a chewy bone or toy. Not destructive, she just likes something to chew on. Donut is lower energy but still loves to chase a ball and play with his sibling. They both know sit and will shake when asked as well. Leash and kennel trained and will sleep in their kennel 8-9 hours with no problems. They are great dogs and their family does not want to give them up but they have had a coupled unexpected deaths in the family and unforeseen circumstances that make it unfair for these two as far as time and space. Their current family would love for them to go together and the adoption fees can be adjusted accordingly if we can find a spot together for them both. We will consider single applications if we can’t find a home together. Once adopted Daisy and Donut will will travel via private transport (transport cost is $165.00) to a location closest to you. If you would like to make this family of two part of your life and home please follow the link below to our application.

Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Hi Spots here. I came to the shelter a while back with some other dogs. Its not bad here but I would rather be in a home to call my own. I'm very easy to walk on a leash and am eager to please. I have a history of escaping my home, so I would need a home where I can be watched.

Delaware, OH
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Spayed or Neutered,
Came to society: On or about March 21, 2024 Bio Update: June 27, 2024 Meet Gidgette, the lovable dachshund with a heart much bigger than her short, little legs! Gidgette is a sweetheart through and through. Her tail never stops wagging. Her soulful eyes will melt your own heart in an instant! Gidgette is completely housetrained and she knows all of her commands. At 11 years young, Gidgette LOVES to go for car rides and is so well behaved when she is in the car. Gidgette LOVES to walk or hike and is extremely easy on the leash, never pulling. She just loves exploring outside! Don't let her senior status fool you, Gidgette is always ready to go, go, go. But once she's done exploring, she comes right back in to enjoy naps, cuddles, pets; then more naps, cuddles and pets. Gidgette is a laid back, super snuggly, easy-going gal. Gidgette sleeps in her crate at night but be very prepared to go straight outside in the morning as she will be ready to go. Gidgette; however, doesn't really need to be crated as she can be left home alone and you will find her in the same cozy, napping spot that you left her. Every dog has a bit of a quirk and Gidgette's quirk is that she needs to be the only animal in the home. Gidgette prefers to be the only queen in her domain. So long as she is the only animal in the house, she will be fiercely protective of her people: adult and children alike. Gidgette is searching for her "furever home where she can receive all the love and care that she wants to give her people right back. If you are looking for a loyal companion, have no other animals in your home, and want to reap the rewards of a perfect, low-riding Dachshund, Gidgette is the girl for you! Your days are sure to be filled with love and joy with Gidgette
