Story
Layla is a sweet dog. We rehomed her when her owner could no longer care for her. She is 5 years old and has been with us almost 3 years. We just feel we can't give her the care she needs. She has skin allergies so she requires meds and medicated baths when it gets really bad. It honestly could be something in our backyard. We aren't sure. Otherwise she is a sweet little pup who mostly minds her business. ☺️ We hope to find someone who can really love on her more than we can.

Story
Meet Dexter & Diego 🤎 Dexter and Diego are a pair of sweet senior gentlemen with hearts as big as their love for people. These two have been through life together and share a special bond, and while they are not required to go home as a pair, we would highly encourage it for anyone looking to double their love. Both boys are total love bugs who enjoy the simple things—soft beds, gentle pets, and spending time with their people. They have a calm, easygoing nature and are happiest just being by your side, soaking up affection and giving it right back. They would thrive in a home that can offer them comfort, patience, and plenty of cozy moments. Whether adopted together or separately, Dexter and Diego are sure to bring warmth and companionship to any home lucky enough to have them. If you’ve got room in your heart (and maybe your couch) for one—or even better, both—come meet Dexter and Diego 🐾

Story
Meet Skipper! This rowdy fella came to us when his owners health declined and they could no longer care for him. Skipper was well loved by his family and came to the VBSPCA at no fault of his own. Skipper would do best as an only dog as he is a bit unsure about the company of other dogs. This is something that could be worked on with a trainer to help build his confidence and help him to learn proper play and interactions with other dogs. He has never lived with children so we will require kids 10 and up in his future home. Skipper loves people and loves to cuddle and give kisses. If you would like to meet Skipper please speak with our kennel team who would happy to help you meet him.

Story
Nola is a loving dog however she’s not able to get the Love and attention she needs. She is quite territorial of her loved ones and will definitely alert you if Simone comes near the house. She loves my grandchild and likes to go outside for walks. She’s energetic and likes to play and still gets the zoomies when she is excited. She boards well but is not used to other dogs. She is house broken and goes to the door and sits by it to let you know she needs to go to the bathroom. Takes time for her to warm up to new people and need new people to visit multiple times for her to get used to them. Does very well with my grand daughter and niece and nephew but gets anxious around other children.
