Born in approximately 2020 and weighing in at about 7 lbs, RuPaula is a female Dachshund mix seeking a forever home. RuPaula came to us through Tri City Animal Control, where she had been picked up as a heavily pregnant stray. RuPaula was likely bred with a larger dog and after a difficult birth resulting in an emergency c section, RuPaula lost both of her babies. In true drag queen fashion, Ru was happy to adopt 4 new babies that were in need and raise them as her own. Now that her babies are ready to leave the nest, RuPaula is looking for her own forever home. Ru gets along with dogs of all sizes and cats. She has the sweetest demeanor and loves to cuddle with her people or other dog friends. RuPaula rides well in a car, she is crate trained, and we personally think she’s one of the best girls in the whole world. ♥️ Due to her small size and love for adventure, a securely fenced yard or leashed walks are a must for RuPaula, as she has a tendency to wander if left alone.
