MEET DILLON... Dillon is what happens when you put a big puppy personality into a grown-up dog’s body! This handsome Dalmatian/Labrador mix is full of enthusiasm, affection, and an irresistible desire to say hello to absolutely everyone. Dillon was found as a stray in Delano, and sadly, no one came to claim him. Their loss is certainly someone else’s gain, because this boy loves meeting new people and making canine friends. He enjoys playing with dogs of all different sizes and has a wonderfully social, outgoing personality. Dillon is already a pleasure to walk on leash and is comfortable meeting strangers. His biggest challenge? He simply loves people a little too much! Dillon gets so excited that he likes to jump up, shower everyone with kisses, and sometimes forgets that his enthusiastic greeting could use a little refinement. He’ll benefit from some basic training to learn good manners, especially keeping all four paws on the ground and slowing down his exuberant greetings. The good news is that Dillon is eager to interact with people and should be a fun student for an adopter who enjoys teaching and engaging with their dog. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, playful, social dog who will happily make friends wherever he goes, Dillon could be your guy. Chopper is a 7½-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with the energy and enthusiasm of a much younger dog. He’s affectionate, incredibly loyal, and loves being part of the family. He’s wonderful with kids, completely housebroken, and crate trained. He settles well in his crate and is comfortable spending several hours there when needed. Chopper thrives with an active owner who enjoys hiking, running, or spending time outdoors. As is typical for his breed, he has a very strong prey drive, so he is best suited for a home without small animals and with someone who understands sporting breeds. Chopper is being rehomed only because of a divorce and housing restrictions, not because of any fault of his own. He deserves a loving home where he can continue to be an active, devoted companion for years to come.
