Story
Victoria is a beautiful one-year-old Dalmatian with a gentle soul and a heart full of untapped love. She’s searching for a forever home that understands that trust takes time and that patience can change everything. Victoria is a shy, fearful girl who needs a calm, kind environment to truly shine. Soft voices, slow movements, and consistent love help her feel safe, and once she does, her walls begin to come down. When she trusts you, her bond is incredibly special. You can see her curiosity peek through, her tail start to wag a little more, and her personality slowly bloom. She would do best in a quieter home with a securely fenced yard where she can feel protected and learn to enjoy the world at her own pace. Victoria can be an only dog or live with another calm, friendly pup, as long as introductions are slow and respectful. This sweet girl has so much potential and so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to meet her where she is and walk beside her as she continues to blossom. If you’re the kind of person who believes in second chances, gentle growth, and the magic of earning a dog’s trust, Victoria might be your perfect match. ##2546418##

Story
Daffodil is 5 months going on 6 months young pup. She is very loving, energetic and loyal. She is in fact one of the best fur babies I’ve had. Due to life changes it’s going to be a lot harder for me to care for her and provide the proper needs. Daffodil is a perfect family dog, she is used to children, cats and other dogs. Daffodil loves long walks and going to the dog park she is very playful and friendly. The only thing daffodil dislikes is storms and water. But she is very easy to clean and bathe. Daffodil doesn’t bark hardly ever unless something is wrong, which makes her great for apartment living, she is coming from town home living; so she is used to small or big spaces. Daffy is potty trained to used pee pads and or go outside.

Story
Meet Kelly – Your Future Best Friend Are you looking for a loyal, low-key companion to share your life with? Look no further — Kelly is your girl! This sweet senior pup is ready to fill your home (and your heart) with love, laughter, and lots of cuddles. After spending several years at Satchel’s Last Resort, Kelly recently transitioned to a foster home — and she’s been thriving! She settled in like she’d lived there forever and has proven to be the perfect house guest. Kelly is calm, well-mannered, and deeply devoted to her people. While she can be protective of her family at home, she absolutely loves meeting new people on her walks and happily soaks up belly rubs and kisses from everyone she meets. Kelly is a dream on the leash, knows all her basic commands, and listens like a pro. She’s a big fan of car rides — whether she’s riding shotgun or stretched out in the backseat, she’s just happy to be along for the journey. Kelly prefers a quiet life and would be happiest as your one-and-only furry friend — she’s not much for sharing attention with other pets. But with her in your life, you won’t feel the need for anyone else! If you think Kelly sounds like your perfect match, we’d love to introduce you! Please submit an adoption application at satchelslastresort.org, and one of our adoption counselors will reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet. Kelly is ready to be your number one — are you ready to be hers? 🐾

Story
A shy and cautious boy, our handsome Kricket is looking for his forever home with a calm family who won't ask too much of him. Kricket is 8 years old and has been at Satchel's for 4 of those years learning to explore the world again one paw at a time. He may come up to you with worried eyes, but with a bit of encouragement and possibly a tasty treat, he will become your friend after a few meets. Kricket has a Woof Pack leader here at Satchel's and enjoys a day off in the home every week where he gets his weekly bath and enjoys some air conditioned nap time. He does great in the home, staying off furniture and no accidents. Kricket loves the frequent air conditioned van rides with Quentin (his Woof Pack leader), stopping for walks around the shopping center parking lots and Twin Lakes, always engrossed in investigating. Kricket walks great on leash, though if spooked, tends to pull back to home base. He has recently started attending off-site adoption meet and greet events with his Woof Pack leader every week and is doing well meeting new people. He'd prefer dogs not be in his bubble but they are okay at a distance. When he is comfortable, Kricket will show a smirking smile, sneak in a few kisses and a happy wagging tail. He is a very sweet boy underneath that spotty coat of his, and with patience and encouragement will be able to expand his horizons. If you are looking for a friend to share new experiences with, but still like a cozy day in, Kricket would love to meet you! For an appointment to meet him, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) found on our website, www.satchelslastresort.org, and an adoption counselor will be in touch.
