My name is Jack and I am 2 years old. I am fixed. Unfortunately, my fur parents are always working and they don't like the fact I am in my crate while they are gone for such long periods of time, because I am not getting my exercise in. I know a few commands that mum has taught me. I do have to be crated when my humans leave. I do have a doggie brother, that is much older than me, we play but I can get a little rough with him. I really don't like to share stuff (I am knight shining thief). Haha, I am not a fan of cats; we have roaming ones in my neighborhood. I am such a cuddling bug, I think I am a human, I love to be on the couch, I even took over mum's ottoman (now has my indent). I will follow you everywhere. I do love children, but I do get nervous with loud noises. I would be a great fit someone that has alot more time for me. I love treats, toys, all the attention that I can get. My mum can give you more information on me, if I am chosen.

He was nervous of shelter enviroment & around other dogs . the rescue set him up with a professional training facility where he,s doing great for past 6 weeks . He loves water activitys , walks/jogs & next to a bike for running. He could be adopted to a home with docile dog with slow introductions & no kids under 10 years due to his size .. Loves attention & interacting with people .

Shadow is a sweet, resilient soul who has endured more than most dogs should in his five years of life. Rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico, he found his way to Tampa Bay and was given the gift of a loving home. But after a cross-country move triggered severe anxiety, Shadow was surrendered—his little heart broken once again. For a while, things looked brighter. Shadow was adopted by another family and started to find comfort again. But when his vision began to fade, his family chose not to seek answers and returned him to us. He came back overweight, with swollen ankles, and carrying the weight of heartbreak yet again. We soon discovered that Shadow has a thyroid condition. With medication, a healthy diet, and proper care, he’s already improving and showing glimpses of the happy, playful pup he truly is. His vision loss may even be connected to this condition, and he’s undergoing further evaluation to give him the best chance possible. Through it all—every setback, every loss—Shadow has remained the same at his core: a love bug who just wants to be close to his people. He deserves a calm, patient home where he can continue healing, feel safe, and finally be cherished for the incredible companion he is. Shadow has been failed too many times, but we believe his forever family is out there. Please, help us find them. Share his story. Open your heart. Let’s give this brave boy the soft landing he has always deserved.   ##2177020##
