Story
If you're looking for a loyal, loving, and active companion, Nova and/or Onyx may be the perfect match! Nova and her "sister" Onyx (from same breeder but they do not share relatives) had to be surrendered by their previous Owner because he was being deployed. He was absolutely distraught about having to leave his pups that he's had since they were both puppies, but we were anxious to help alleviate his concerns and assure him that we would find them both amazing new homes. Both were very well taken care of and deeply loved. These are both young girls with Nova becoming 2 in July and Onyx just turning 1 a month ago. While they were surrendered together and absolutely enjoy each other, they are not bonded, and can be adopted separately. These beautiful girls have all the wonderful qualities the breed is known for. They're affectionate, intelligent, eager to please, and love being part of the family. They adores people of all ages and gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making either of them an easy addition to many households. Additionally, they are both AKC registered. True to the GSP breed, they love to run! They would do best with a big fenced back yard with plenty of off-leash play time. They both absolutely love fetch and carrying around toys when they can. A fenced back yard is not necessary to adopt, but some type of consistent and often off-leash exercise opportunities would be needed. Both dogs are housetrained and crate trained, giving them a foundation for a smooth transition into a forever home. Whether joining you for an adventure outdoors or relaxing by your side after a busy day, they're both happiest spending time with her people. ✔️ AKC registered ✔️ Spayed ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Fully vaccinated and up to date on all veterinary care ✔️ Housetrained ✔️ Crate trained ✔️ Dog-friendly ✔️ People-friendly These amazing girls are ready to leave rescue life behind and start her next chapter with a family who will love her as much as she'll love them. Could either of them be the missing piece to your family? ❤️ They are both fostered in Sarasota and their adoption fees are $400 each or $600 if you decide to take the pair. Story
Calling all our pointer lovers! How about a pocket pointer?! Our sweet German Shorthaired Pointer momma Hattie found herself at a very rural county shelter where, after nearly two months, she was given a euthanasia deadline. We are so thankful we were told about her, and we jumped at the opportunity to save her life! Hattie is estimated to be between 2-4 years old and was definitely a mother at some point in her life. She is the ultimate pocket pointer - a shorty weighing just under 40lbs. She is underweight and although she has gained some since she’s been with us, she still could use another 5lbs or so. Hattie is house trained and crate trained, but we don’t think she’d ever been on a leash before she joined the FSDA family. Thankfully she’s small, but she definitely needs an adopter willing to work with her on leash manners. She is great with other dogs, but cats and other small animals are a hard no for her. She has a very typical GSP prey drive and loves to hunt the rabbits in her foster family’s backyard, and when she is in hunt mode she has a tendency to turn her ears off. Hattie loves people and is a true Velcro GSP, so any potential adopters need to be prepared to have a shadow everywhere they go. Hattie is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready to go home. She is fostered in Charlotte County, Florida and her adoption fee is $400. If you think Hattie is the right Velcro addition to your family, please send us an adoption application at the link below or email us at info@flsportingdogalliance.org for more info! https://www.flsportingdogalliance.org/dog-adoption

Story
I took this dog in for a friend who removed her from a situation where she lived outside with 20 other dogs. I got her in july of 2025. She has shown some unpredictable behavior with my son and her time is up with us. She is crate and house trained. She is good with dogs but she likes to play rough and climb all over them. I do not want any money but she should go to an owner experienced with working dog breeds or gsp specifically. She is good with my cat but does like to poke at him. She is a very sweet dog. She was scared of everything and had never been inside or on a leash or anything so she has come a long way, she just needs more work with someone who can handle/work with her and without small children. She is not spayed. She was born 11/2024. She is heartworm negative and on milbeguard prevention now. I just treated her for hookworms with meds from the vet. No microchip. She would come with her leash, collar, harness, muzzle, bowls, and her crate. vaccines up to date

Story
Kris came to FLUFF in early December from the Florida/Georgia line after spending her life as a stray. She and several other dogs were cared for by a kind Good Samaritan who made sure they had food, water, and what shelter he could provide. When he sadly passed away, a group of compassionate people stepped in to ensure these pups were safe and ultimately placed with rescues where they could have a chance at forever homes. Until coming to FLUFF, Kris had likely never been handled, and the comforts of a domesticated life are still new and sometimes scary for her. With time and patience in her foster home, she has begun to blossom. She absolutely adores her furry siblings, has discovered that soft couches and cozy beds are actually pretty wonderful, and is learning that sitting quietly near her humans can be a nice thing, too. Kris is still unsure about leashes and too much petting or affection, and that’s okay—she’s learning at her own pace. She will need a calm, patient home with another confident, friendly dog to help guide her and show her the ropes. Her ideal human understands that trust takes time and is happy to let Kris simply be part of the family from a distance at first, with no pressure or expectations. Kris may never be a fully “typical” dog—and that’s perfectly okay. What she offers is something just as special: a gentle soul who deserves safety, kindness, and the chance to live life on her own terms, surrounded by love. https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guarenteed* ##2590256##

Story
Hi, my name is Kringle, and I came from a rough start, living outdoors on a property without ever knowing human touch. Everything changed for me in November when I arrived at FLUFF Animal Rescue. I was very scared and unsure, and while I allowed care for my basic needs. With time, patience, and kindness, I’ve started to come out of my shell. I now take treats from people, enjoy having calm, gentle company, and am beginning to accept slow, soft pets from those I trust. I also really enjoy spending time outside and playing. I’m still learning the basics—like leash walking and what it means to just be a dog—but I’m making steady progress. My ideal home is with someone who understands that I’m a work in progress. I’m not a cuddly dog right away, but I have so much potential. I need a patient, committed person who will give me the time, space, and guidance to continue building trust. A home that will support my journey with crate training, leash training, and confidence-building will help me continue to grow. I may take time, but I promise I’m worth it. Every step forward I take is something truly special, and I’m looking for someone who will celebrate those moments with me as I learn what it means to feel safe and loved. https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives.
