Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Coheresy post  Meet Beth Beth is a nearly 4-year-old German Shepherd/Catahoula mix looking for a home that can provide the structure, consistency, and lower-stimulation environment she needs to thrive. Beth is house-trained, crate-trained, and has completed both obedience and behavior training. She originally began service dog training and learned many commands, including sit, down, bed, and several others. While she showed great potential, her anxiety ultimately made public access work too stressful, and she was withdrawn from service dog training. Beth is an intelligent, loyal dog who bonds closely with her people. She enjoys having a routine, responds well to structure, and loves being included in daily life. She has successfully lived with other dogs and currently lives with three cats without issue. Beth’s biggest challenge is that she becomes overstimulated in busy environments. She also struggles with resource guarding and anxiety, which have become increasingly difficult to manage in a household with young children. While she has received training and her family has worked hard to help her succeed, the current environment is simply not the right fit for her needs. Because of this, Beth would do best in a home without young children and with an owner who understands working breeds, anxiety, and resource-guarding behaviors. She would thrive in a calmer environment where she can continue to have structure, consistency, and clear boundaries. This decision has been heartbreaking for our family. Beth is deeply loved, and our only goal is to find her a home where she can be safe, successful, and happy. We believe she has so much to offer the right person and deserves a family that is the best match for her needs. If you think Beth may be a good fit for your home, we’d love to help you learn more about her.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 8, 2026, 3:52 pm
