Story
I'm a sweet 3-wheeled wagon straight from the south, ya'll! My names Savannah, and I'm just a southern belle looking to find my furrever home! I had a tussle with some dirty bandits or something, and one of my legs had to be amputated, but the good news is this won't slow me down (at least not much). Come meet me today and see if we are a good fit!

Story
Meet Atlas! This guy ended up with Helping Paws after not adjusting well to life with the addition of a baby to the family. He is a very sweet and sensitive boy and can get easily spooked by kiddos that move too quickly. But he is currently in a foster home with older children and is doing great! He also came to us very nervous of men, but has gotten MUCH better since first arriving and gaining more confidence. He has the best tail wag where all of his butt wiggles and it will melt anyone's heart! Atlas knows a lot of commands and is pretty good listener since all he wants to do his please his people :) He is housetrained and crate trained as well. He does ok in car, but it isn't his favorite thing. He also is doing well working on his leash training. Atlas needs a little bit to warm up to new dogs (again, it's just a lack of confidence with him), but once he does, he loves to run and play! He has become the resident puppy babysitter in his foster home and loves to run around with a toy so the puppies chase him! He can sometimes guard his toys with other animals, but we are working on correcting that as well and he's doing great. He did live with cats previously and currently has cats in his foster home, although he sometimes gets a little too interested in them so a dog savvy cat or no cats would probably best. Atlas' adoption fee is $250 and he comes vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is also heartworm negative and is current on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Please read entire description. Candy's adoption fee is $200. If interested, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting.    Meet Candy! This little mixed breed, sweetie is 6 months old, about 35 pounds, and will be a year old on July 7th, 2024. We pulled her from our county kennel to make room for other dogs in need. She is very good with other dogs, polite, and quiet. She is not a huge fan of the crate, and likes to be with you when you are home. She will bark a bit when left alone, but will settle. She knows some basic commands, is gentle taking treats, and also good with children and cats!   Candy has been in the kennel environment for 2 months of her short life, so she is working on getting fully potty trained. She is doing well on a schedule! She loves chewing on bones and playing with toys, running in a fenced yard and play wrestling with other canine companions. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm tested, and microchipped. If interested in meeting Candy, please complete an application on our website at www.pawswapofgreaterlafayette.com/adopting. Her adoption fee is $200. One application works for all of our dogs. ##1946771##
