Story
Charlie is a young, busy dog who approaches life with enthusiasm, purpose, and a tail that never seems to stop wagging. He’s incredibly eager to earn treats and stays impressively focused, making him a joy to work with and a standout for anyone who loves an engaged, responsive companion. Training with Charlie is fast-paced and fun. He already knows sit, down, and touch, and he performs them at lightning speed—clearly excited to see what comes next. He thrives on having a job to do and loves the mental challenge of learning, especially when treats are involved. Charlie is the kind of dog who makes training feel like a game you’re both winning. When it’s time to play, Charlie is all in. He loves chasing balls and reliably brings them back, ready for another throw without hesitation. Fetch is his happy place, though he’ll pause briefly in between throws for a few quick pets before zooming off again. Everything he does is done with intention, whether it’s tracking a ball, focusing on his handler, or lining up for the next cue. Despite his energetic nature, Charlie does know how to slow down. He melts for a good massage or a satisfying belly rub, taking a break from his busy schedule to soak up some calm, one-on-one affection. Charlie will shine with an active family who enjoys including their dog in daily life—walks, playtime, training, and adventures big and small. With his enthusiasm, intelligence, and joyful spirit, Charlie is ready to be an all-in family member and an unforgettable companion. GREAT NEWS—This pup will go home with a free training scholarship! These fun, positive reinforcement classes are available in-person or online and are super easy to fit into your schedule. It’s a terrific way to build a bond, learn together, and make a smooth transition into your home. Story
Molly is the kind of dog who makes you smile the moment you see her. With her bright white coat sprinkled with the most adorable black speckles, she’s as cute as can be — and her personality matches her looks. Young, bouncy, and full of enthusiasm, Molly is ready to take on the world one adventure at a time. This playful girl is always excited to explore what’s around her. Whether it’s a new space, a new toy, or a new game, Molly approaches life with curiosity and joy. She absolutely loves toys of all kinds and has already mastered the art of retrieving — balls, frisbees, you name it. A few good chases and she’s in her element, running with purpose and bringing her prize back for another throw. Molly is also a quick learner who truly enjoys training. She catches onto new tricks fast and is highly motivated by treats, which makes working with her both easy and fun. Training sessions with Molly feel less like “work” and more like play, and she thrives on the praise and engagement that come with learning something new. She has all the makings of a dog who will love having a job to do, whether that’s practicing obedience, learning fun tricks, or joining you for active outings. After a good round of fetch, Molly will happily dash back in for a quick moment of affection — leaning in for pets and attention — before she’s ready to head right back out for more fun. It’s the perfect balance of affectionate and energetic, showing that while she loves people, she also loves to do things. Molly will thrive in an active home with someone who’s excited to keep her mind and body engaged. She’s still young and can be a little unsure when faced with brand-new experiences, but a few treats and some encouragement are all it takes for her to bravely check things out. With positive reinforcement and continued guidance, Molly is going to grow into a confident, well-rounded companion. If you’re looking for a fun, smart, energetic pup who’s eager to learn and ready to be your adventure partner, Molly just might be your perfect match. Molly has been in a few playgroups at the shelter and has done well. To learn more about Molly, please call 812-988-7362 or submit an adoption application at the link below. Story
Benny was originally born into the rescue in November of 2019 to two GSP mixes, Jack and Diane. Benny was adopted with his brother, Bo, and recently returned due to the owner moving. Benny is a very sweet boy who has the loving and sensitive German Shorthaired Pointer personality. He currently lives at a boarding and daycare facility and does well with other dogs, although he would be best in a home without small dogs or dogs. He is approximately 55 lbs. He also does great with children. Benny is a great dog who deserves to be in a home. He is potty-trained and is crated overnight, but he would prefer not to be. He likely would not be a good candidate in a home that would require frequent crating. Benny is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, on HW prevention, and will come with a Seresto collar.
