Story
Maggie!? How come a gorgeous girl like you haven't gotten adopted yet? Well - the fact that Maggie is a gorgeous (non-pitbull) dog is part of the problem! Adopters applying for Maggie wants a pretty, fun and easy big dog. But Maggie is infact a full-sized Chihuahua. There is nothing wrong with this sweetheart - she LOVES other dogs, is completely potty trained, healthy, active and fun. Maggie just doesn't want to be touched until you've known each other for QUITE a while. And even then, a snarl might come out of nowhere. She is happy and content at the shelter, but will easily adapt to your household of active dogs and hands-off owners. Been around a grumpy cat before? Chihuahuas? Pekingese? Why do we as a society understand that small dogs can be delicate to handle, yet we require big dogs to allow all handling all the time? Maggie is special, but not overwhelming. She is extremely rewarding to interact with, although touch is not her love language! Included in the adoption fee of $275 is up to date vet care, microchip, vaccines, dewormer. She is spayed and ready for meet and greets! Apply to foster-to-adopt Maggie, we will be there for you the whole way: rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt

Story
Bronco is a super lovey dovey big goof ball. He's gangley and still figuring out the whole long leg part of life. He is super energetic and loves to play, loves walks, runs, pretty anything that consist of movement. I can no longer keep him due to me working 16hrs a day 6 days a week. He deserves a family or person who can be active and meet his energy levels. Getting him means you also get a 45lb bag of food, food toppers, toys and clothes . He's kind of the whole package on an amazing dog

I enjoy playing with other dogs and having fun with my canine buddies.I have lots of energy and love to run, play, and explore, so I`d be a great match for an active family who enjoys adventures and outdoor activities. Story
Meet Freckles McDoodle! With a name like Freckles McDoodle, you already know life is going to be a little more fun! Born on April 28, 2026, Freckles is an adorable blend of Dalmatian and Goldendoodle, combining the playful spirit of both breeds into one lovable puppy package. She and her littermates were surrendered when their owner was unable to successfully find homes for them, and now she's ready to find the forever family she truly deserves. Like any young puppy, Freckles is sweet, social, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. She is looking for an active family that is excited about all the fun—and all the responsibility—that comes with raising a puppy. She'll need someone who is home more often than not during these important early months to help with house training, socialization, and establishing a consistent routine that will set her up for success. Freckles enjoys the company of other dogs that appreciate puppy antics and playful energy. Because she's still learning appropriate manners, she would not be a good match for a senior canine companion who prefers a quieter lifestyle. She has also met a cat without any concerns. As expected with any puppy, Freckles is still discovering the world one chew toy (and sometimes one shoe!) at a time. She'll need a family that understands puppies explore with their mouths and is prepared for teething, chewing, occasional accidents, zoomies, and all the other adorable challenges that come with puppyhood. Patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement will help her grow into a wonderful lifelong companion. If you're ready to invest the time, training, and love that every puppy deserves, Freckles McDoodle will reward you with years of laughter, adventures, and unconditional love. Freckles isn't just looking for a home—she's looking for a family to love her furever. Could that be you? Freckles can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until her spay surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Township, or Rochester). The surgery is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. Freckles McDoodle is:Current on age appropriate vaccinations Dewormed/Fecal TestedReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedScheduled for spay surgery at one of our partner Veterinary offices at 6 months of age (included in the adoption fee)ADOPTION FEE: $400 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. Many of the animals in our foster program come to us with limited or unknown histories. We make every effort to evaluate each animal’s temperament and behavior, including testing their interactions with other dogs, cats, and children (defined as individuals under the age of 18, when available). However, every animal is unique—just as every child and household environment is different. While we strive to set both our foster animals and adoptive families up for success through thorough assessments and transparent communication, **we cannot guarantee any specific behavioral outcome**. Animals can be unpredictable by nature, and behavior may change in new environments or over time. By proceeding with adoption or foster placement, applicants acknowledge and accept this inherent risk and agree that no guarantees, either expressed or implied, are made regarding the temperament or behavior of any animal placed through our program. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE.
