📣 Tia and Blessing are still seeking a forever home that will adopt them as a pair. They are 3.5 years old and very bonded. They were adopted as sisters and surrendered when their owner had to move. Both girls are house trained, love the yard, crate trained and do great with other dogs. Tia has a spine deformity from birth, but that doesn’t slow her down at all! She was evaluated by OSU and they only recommend a home with few stairs. Blessing is outgoing, while Tia is a little more reserved. They will steal your heart the minute you meet them.🙌 Because they need to be adopted as a pair, we have a sponsor to cover the adoption fee for one of the girls. Please consider opening up your home this Holiday season for Tia and Blessing. You can apply at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Sugar is a sweet, 45 pound Dalmatian mix who is about 2 years old. She’s a happy, playful, high-energy dog who loves long walks, playing with toys, and car rides. She also enjoys snuggling up with her people after a fun day. Sugar gets along well with kids and other dogs while being curiously friendly around cats. She is mostly house-trained but can have the occasional accident when she gets excited. Sugar would make a wonderful companion for a family or person who wants an affectionate, active dog that is always ready for fun and cuddles. Sugar has interesting markings with her one little eye brow.  Sugar was an excellent mama to her 7 babies and now she is looking forward to her own forever happy!!You can apply to meet Sugar at ricopetrecovery.org. The adoption fee for Sugar is $250. Sugar is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines.

Story
Freddie Mercury is a 9 month old German short hair pointer mix. He is 40 pounds medium size . Brown, white and black ticking. He was a stray that came from a southern shelter. Freddie is doing pretty good on housetraining. Not a fan of the crate. But will go in with treats. He's also crated at night. Freddie would do best with a active person or family. A dog buddy who is medium to high energy since he likes to play would be idea for Freddie. Fenced in yard would better suited for him. Continued training since he's a pup still and very curious and still learning. He's also very affectionate and loves attention and cuddles. Unknown how he would be with cats. Older children, he would be better with. Supervise as always. Story
Hi there, I’m Otto! I’m a 9-month-old hound pup. I am currently 42 lbs and should mature around 52 lbs. I have lots of cute little spots all over me, which are brown on my legs and black on my body. I came from a shelter in southern Ohio after I was found as a stray with my brothers, Freddy Mercury and Prongs (yes, we have an eclectic group of names). We had been dropped off in a “holler” together. All three of us are adoptable through PAWS now though. I love playing with all doggy friends, including running around with Freddy. I haven’t met a cat yet, but Prongs is good with them and I can be cat tested. I also haven’t met any children yet, but I should be fine with older children (unsure about young children yet). I walk well on leash and just started learning about potty and crate training. Sometimes I get hesitant in new environments that are loud, like when walking near traffic or crowds, so I could use a little more confidence building work. I saw some horses and was initially tentative, but I followed a brave dog friend past them. I went to a pond and jumped right in the water- that was fun. I am an outgoing and happy boy when I’m at home or in quieter places. Hope to meet you soon! Otto  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start August 30, 2026, 11:26 pm

Story
Hi I’m Prongs! I’m at 7-8 month GSP mix and I’m looking for a home! I’m located in Cincinnati but I can be adopted in Columbus or here! I’m good with other dogs and got rescued with another dog named Padfoot! I have 2 brothers also with PAWS too! I like cats, they’re pretty interesting but I leave them alone once they’ve had enough of me. I’m a shy guy but I love people once I get to know them. I’d do better with older kids or calm younger ones as loud noises and sudden movements scare me. My favorite thing to do is lay in the grass out in the backyard so if you have a fenced in backyard, that would be awesome! But if you don’t that’s alright too! I’m learning to be in a home again as I’ve been a stray and haven’t been taught anything. I’m working on some commands, potty training, and walking on a leash. I like to go to the door when I need to go potty to let my foster mom know I need to go out. I do sleep in the crate when my foster family leaves and goes to bed but I do like to express my concerns and opinions for a little bit before I settle down. I really prefer a bed. I’m the sweetest guy and I will love you forever! If you’re looking for a new pup to add to your family, please consider me!  Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start August 30, 2026, 11:26 pm
