Story
Tia and Blessing are still seeking a forever home that will adopt them as a pair. They are 3.5 years old and very bonded. They were adopted as sisters and surrendered when their owner had to move. Both girls are house trained, love the yard, crate trained and do great with other dogs. Tia has a spine deformity from birth, but that doesnt slow her down at all! She was evaluated by OSU and they only recommend a home with few stairs. Blessing is outgoing, while Tia is a little more reserved. They will steal your heart the minute you meet them. Because they need to be adopted as a pair, we have a sponsor to cover the adoption fee for one of the girls. Please consider opening up your home this Holiday season for Tia and Blessing. You can apply at ricopetrecovery.org

Story
Meet Whiskey 🤎 Whiskey is a high energy, always ready for action kind of girl. Possibly a Kelpie mix, her smart and driven personality shines through in everything she does. She is a true spring chicken with plenty of bounce and enthusiasm to share. This active pup is looking for a home that can give her a job. Whether it is agility, advanced obedience, hiking, puzzle toys, or learning impressive new tricks, Whiskey is happiest when her mind and body are busy. She is eager to learn and highly food motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Because her herding breed tendencies are strong, Whiskey would do best in an adults only home or with children over 12 who understand and appreciate her energetic, working dog personality. She is searching for a family that will provide structure, consistency, and plenty of positive outlets for her energy. If you are ready for a smart, athletic companion who is always up for the next adventure, Whiskey cannot wait to meet you 🤍

He’s got the cool looks and smarts of a working dog… but his true calling? Being your dog. Let’s talk résumé: Potty trained (because nobody likes surprise puddles) Crate trained (his little man cave) Great with cats, dogs, and kids (yes, he’s the whole package) He’s the kind of pup who will zoom around the yard like he’s training for the Dog Olympics… and then immediately clock out to cuddle like it’s a full-time job. Equal parts playmate and weighted blanket. His absolute favorite hobby? Grabbing a bone, hopping onto the couch, and chewing away like he’s binge-watching his favorite show. If you’re sitting there too, even better — he believes bones taste best when enjoyed in good company. He’s sweet, social, and ready to bring chaos (the cute kind) and cuddles into your life. If your home is missing: The sound of happy tail thumps A built-in adventure buddy A couch-supervisor with excellent chewing technique He’s ready to apply for the position immediately.  All fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, worming, flea and heartworm current. All dogs over 6 months of age have been tested and are heartworm negative.
