Story
⸻Meet Dottie – 3–4 Year Old Dalmatian | Looking for Her Forever FamilyDottie Pardon is a joyful, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger desire to be loved. She’s eager to please, knows how to sit, and happily soaks up every bit of attention you offer. Medium-energy by nature, she’d love a family who enjoys walks, playtime, and making a dog feel like part of the team.Dottie’s story is one of true survival. She arrived at a shelter in NE Texas severely emaciated and unclaimed, and was scheduled for euthanasia along with 30 other dogs. Thanks to a compassionate vet tech who stepped in, her life was saved — and now she’s thriving in foster care.In her foster home, Dottie lived peacefully in the home office with her work-from-home foster mom, happy to nap nearby or simply enjoy companionship throughout the day. She does need a home without cats or small dogs, as she has a noticeable prey drive — but she may do well with a similar-sized or larger, calm dog with slow introductions.Dottie’s Ideal Home • No cats or small dogs • Active or moderately active family • Someone who enjoys a snuggly, people-oriented companion • Work-from-home or someone who wants a shadow dog? – She’d love it!Dottie is ready for a life where she is cherished. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who survived the odds and still loves with her whole heart — Dottie is waiting. Story
Hello. Our names are Prince Charming (M) and Handsome (M). Our mom was a Dalmatian, and no one knew who our dads were. We were owner surrender. We are not hyper like Dalmatians are. We are calm, sweet, loving babies who want to be with their human. We are good car riders and love to go for walks, hikes, and even the beach. We have heard stories of playing in the snow, laying on a pillow near the fireplace, and sleeping the day away next to you while watching a movie.  We are cat and dog social and love children. We are ready for our very own family. Please request an application from alittlelonger2home@gmail.com. Once you have submitted your application, the next step is to submit your Refundable deposit ($200) to begin my journey home to you. I am so smart. Will you teach me? I want to please you. Story
Koda was a surrender from another local rescue. He is deaf but has been doing great learning sign language. He loves his foster buddies and plays great with both the tiny puppies and the big rough dogs. Koda has adjusted great to living inside and with a doggy door is completely housetrained. He is not chewing up shoes or phones cords or anything like that. Koda is a puppy but doesn't have that seek and destroy puppy vibe. He loves to take walks and would be a wonderful companion for outdoor activities or he can be just as comfortable laying beside you on the couch. Special needs dogs are the best dogs for anyone wanting to really feel like they saved one that needs it the most. Koda lives in his foster home with 22 fosters and his foster dad says he is a "stand out". FOCCAS is a foster based, non-profit rescue in Crossville, TN. Koda's adoption fee is $275. The adoption fee Includes Age-Appropriate Vaccinations (DA2PPV, Bordetella, Rabies), Deworming, Spay/Neuter, Microchip, Flea/Tick/Heartworm Prevention, and Sheltering. Adult Dogs are Heartworm Tested and Treated as Needed. FOCCAS does not DNA test or guarantee breed. If transport is needed, there are additional fees to cover department of agriculture requirements and transport, the additional fee adds $300 to the adoption fee (any location out of Tennessee, East Coast, Great Lakes or New England regions)Thank You for Your Interest in Adopting a Canine Companion from Foccas-tn.org!To Apply Please Copy and Paste to your browser:https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=hb2428&method=online_form_html&formid=41LOCATED IN CROSSVILLE, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, TN. Story
Kevin Henson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home!    Meet Kevin, a striking pointer mix with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life. At about 65 pounds, he’s a playful, goofy boy who loves toys, food, and being part of the action. He’s smart, eager to learn, and incredibly food-motivated, the perfect combo for training.  Kevin is a social butterfly with people and enjoys making new friends. He’s house-trained, crate-trained, and always ready for a good time, whether it’s a romp outside or hanging with his favorite humans. His ideal forever home would have a fenced-in backyard where he can run to his heart’s content.  Kevin does have leash reactivity, so he needs an experienced adopter who’s ready to put in the time and consistency he deserves. With structure, training, and patience, this boy will absolutely thrive. Kevin just started private training sessions and is learning so much already! If you’re looking for a fun, loyal companion and you’re ready to help a smart dog reach his full potential, Kevin is your guy. Story
Calypso Henson is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! Calypso dances to the beat of her own drum. This gorgeous 1 year old wirehaired pointer mix hears the call of the wild and wants to be where the breeze takes her-especially if that means chasing birds, squirrels, bunnies, and chipmunks. This girl has a tracking collar and MUST be adopted to a home with a fully fenced yard who understands fearful, flight risk pups. All foster dogs and new rescues are considered flight risks, but miss Calypso is a little Houdini. While Calypso comes across as comfortable and easy at adoption events, she's quite timid and skittish in the home and will need a family that is willing to give her time and space to come into her own. Calypso is a gorgeous free spirit and absolutely thrives in a home with other dogs her size or smaller, and at least one other confident dog will be required for her forever home. She much prefers pups to people, and needs to learn that she is safe and loved. Once she feels safe and settled her true personality shines through. She loves a good cuddle with humans and dog friends too! Calypso is crate and house trained and generally pretty quiet in the house with an occasional bark if she's startled. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter.
