Callie Local is currently in RI and looking for a 'furever' home! A sweet & shy 6-year-old Pointer Lab mix who recently lost her mom and is looking for a loving home to help heal her heart. She’s slowly coming out of her shell in foster care and would love a cozy couch to call her own. Callie enjoys spending time in the yard, soaking up the sun, and relaxing in a peaceful environment. She gets along with other dogs but prefers slow, gradual introductions. If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who just needs a little time and patience to blossom, Callie could be the perfect match for you! A fenced yard is required. If you are interested in adopting this dog please complete the adoption application at www.rhodehomerescue.org/adoption-form to become a pre-approved adopter. If you were already approved through Rhode Home Rescue within the last 6 months, contact us today! Story
Meet Tommy, an affectionate young terrier-hound mix in search of his forever home. This playful pup absolutely loves the company of other dogs and brings a joyful, social energy wherever he goes. He’s affectionately known for his “Tommy Time”—his own adorable spin on the zoomies that’s sure to make you laugh. Whether he’s darting around the yard or chasing his favorite stuffed toys, Tommy knows how to have a good time. Though he can be a little reserved at first, Tommy warms up quickly and becomes a total cuddlebug. He’s curious about the world and has met a cat before—he did well, though he hasn’t lived with one. He also has excellent recall; call his name, and he’ll come running with enthusiasm. Fully house and crate trained, Tommy is a well-mannered companion who’s ready to bring love, fun, and plenty of “Tommy Time” to his new home. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful pup, Tommy might be the perfect match. Meet Our Farm-Fresh Trio! When a call for help went out over Facebook, these three sweet puppies and their mama were cold, hungry, and in desperate need of rescue. They’ll be arriving in mid-May and can’t wait to meet you!Breed: PointerAge: 9 weeksWeight: Growing daily Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced.Vaccinations: Puppy vaccines will be up to date. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee when applicableATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are an experienced dog owner and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE—Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so crucial in this puppy's life. Do you have the time?IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs reside in various locations throughout the South and New England. Adoption donations cover pre-adoption vet costs (including vaccinations, spay/neuter when age appropriate, and heartworm testing/treatment when necessary), a microchip, and transportation to New England if necessary.Donations for our young, healthy puppies and dogs support their fellow canines of advanced age or suffering from injuries and abuse whose donations are reduced but whose veterinary costs are typically much higher. We appreciate your understanding that your newly adopted dog will help others in need.IMPORTANT INFORMATIONPaws New England is a foster-based rescue - our dogs reside in various locations throughout the south and New England. Story
Hello, my name is Jasper. I was named after the gemstone, Jasper. I am as sweet as a sugar, but as playful as can be. I am always happy to see you. I am loving life. My new family has to like a fellow with a lot of energy. My new family I would like to hike, go to the beach, go camping, and love to play in the backyard. My original family kept me tied up with little water and even a smaller amount of shade. The lady who rescued me along with my friends Terra and Osa knew I did not have any chance of surviving. So, like she has with so many human parents, go up and demand I am released. Not just because it was right, but because she knew it would be saving my life. Happily, 2 years ago I was surrendered to my rescuerer's rescue. Today everything is forgotten. But for sure, I want my own family. It does not matter if they have a fur sibling for me or not. I will bring so much joy and many hours of happiness. Please request an application, place a deposit to start my journey home. Jasper Male Neutered Breed English Pointer mix color White and black Age 5 yrs old Weight 45lbs Great with people, children, dogs/ puppies Adoption Donation $355 Carlton Rescue- Operation Puppy Love 501c3 ❤️ 🐾 🐾 ❤️ (Like us on Facebook)
