Story
Kady❤️❤️❤️Ready to meet your new best friend? We're talking your shadow, your ride-or-die, your wing woman. If so, meet Kady, a soft-hearted girl who carries herself with a quiet grace and a deep love for the people she trusts. She is a thoughtful girl who blossoms with gentle guidance and clear expectations. But most importantly, she's down to be your bestie. She would do best with children over 12, or younger dog-savvy children over the age of 6 who understand how to respectfully interact with dogs whether that means going for a walk, playing fetch in the yard, or snuggling on the couch. She's here for all of it. Kady has excellent house manners, including house and crate training. This girl also walks so politely on a leash. She takes food and treats gently, and does a funny tippy-tap march with her paws when she's excited. When it comes to other dogs, Kady prefers all the attention, she is perfectly happy as the only dog, soaking up all the love and attention for herself. She needs a home that will respect her needs and not bring other dogs or cats into her space or her into their space. However, Kady does enjoy being out around doggie friends with appropriate social distancing https://youtu.be/rQDrnkLrrNw?is=EPjQ3GHAMdMNpzXqShe is an active lady that enjoys walks and hikes and would benefit from regular outings to keep her body and mind engaged. Story
Meet Grace, estimated to be about 5 years old, whose remarkable resilience has carried her through life's challenges. She was abandoned when someone pulled over, set her out of a truck, and drove away. For quite a while, she survived on her own, relying on the kindness of people who stopped to feed her. She was understandably frightened and wouldn’t let anyone get close, but over time she began to trust one special person. After months of patience, Grace was finally safely trapped by her. Shortly afterward, it became clear she was pregnant. She gave birth to seven beautiful puppies. Being a first-time mom to such a large litter was overwhelming, so her puppies were raised separately, allowing Grace to finally focus on herself for the first time in a very long time.Today, Grace is a quiet, gentle girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. She isn’t the type of dog who demands attention or follows you from room to room. Instead, she’s an independent soul who enjoys having her own space while slowly building trust with her people.A fenced yard is a must for Grace, as she loves spending time outdoors and feels most comfortable when she has a secure place to explore. She thrives on routine and would do best with a patient individual or couple in a calm home who will let her move at her own pace. Once she feels safe, she enjoys gentle pets, walks nicely on leash, and quietly settles into daily life.Grace is fully housebroken, which tells us she likely had a home before being abandoned. She enjoys outings but can become overwhelmed, so introducing her to new places and experiences slowly will help her succeed.Grace has done well around other dogs, though a meet-and-greet is required with any resident dogs. She has also peacefully ignored chickens and would likely do well with a calm, dog-savvy cat that is comfortable sharing its space.Grace isn’t looking for perfection—she’s looking for someone willing to give her the time, patience, and understanding she was never given before. Watching this brave girl continue to discover what love and security feel like is incredibly rewarding, and we know the right family will see just how special she truly is.All known information about the animal is listed above. Story
Hello World. My name is Rolo and I am very exotic looking. When the sunlight shines on me you can see spots of milk chocolate floating in a sea of creamy caramel. Only difference is I am not wrapped in foil candy paper like a roll of Rolos. My world was not always like a candy bar, sweet. At some point in my life I had a family who loved me. My foster mom talks about how good I am with kids. I like female dogs when they are Introduced to me slowly. I love them. I love puppies. I love to play. I am nervous when I meet someone. But that changes quickly and I become the life of the party. Rolo would do best with children over 8- 10 years old and older. Dogs if they are Introduced slowly. Cats are unknown. He loves older children and being loved on. Rolo would be great on hikes, long power walks, and camping. Next step is to request an application for adopting me. Story
Meet Star! Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesnt let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. Shes very smart, already knows sit, and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If youre looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl.

Story
***SPONSORED ADOPTION FEE***Another desperate attempt to get Calamity some attention because she's honestly the best girl and we don't know why she's still sitting here.Is she a large dog? Yup. She's a 78lb catahoula leopard dog mix. She's a large lady but she KNOWS that she's a large lady. She's not a bull in a china shop, she's not chaos incarnate, she's not the ringleader of a three-ring circus that's on fire. Despite her name, she's a polite, even-tempered girl with actual MANNERS. She's definitely a sporty girl and she's athletic and will need regular exercise but she's not the kind of dog to parkour off of you or bounce off of the walls. Calamity is about 5.5 years old so she's full grown and a mature, responsible adult...she would pay taxes if she could. She's extremely intelligent, knows her cues, and she's fantastic on a leash, especially for a girl of her size. She LOVES toys and will literally play fetch with herself. She's an attention-seeker and LIVES for attention from people and has no issues with befriending strangers.Calamity does NOT like cats and she's choosy about the dogs she gets along with but has been fine with them for the most part. We're asking that any kids in the home be 12+ just because Calamity was found as a stray so we have very little history on her and don't know if she's ever been around children.Calamity is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She's also been tested for heartworm, lyme, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichia and is negative for all four.To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application. Once complete, you can email it to us at fpas1@foreverpaws.com.

Story
We received Millie about a year ago from a friend who knew someone who had a puppy they wanted to find a new home for. They had her living in a crate outdoors 24 hours a day and she was underfed. We wanted to rescue her so we took her in. She's a mixed breed but we're not sure what exactly she is. We think she might have some Rhodesian Ridgeback in her based on her coloring and body shape. We housetrained her and taught her the "sit" command but she could use some training in other areas. She's a sweet dog, however, she seems to have some anxiety when it comes to strangers, especially men. She has a lot of energy and it is a little overwhelming for us as we have a new baby. We also have an older dog who doesn't have the energy to play with her all the time like she wants to. We have a small fenced in area in our yard but she needs more space to run around. She needs a home with someone who has the time and patience to train her and give her the attention she deserves.
