Story
Meet Millie! This sweet German Wirehaired Pointer/Pit Mix puppy is ready to find her forever family. Coming from an accidental litter, Millie has a wonderful blend of traits from her parents — mom is a pit mix, while dad is a German Wirehaired Pointer/Weimaraner mix — giving her both a playful spirit and a loving personality. Millie is wonderful with kids and other dogs, and although she hasn’t lived with cats before, we think she would likely adjust well with slow introductions. She is already crate trained and doing well with potty training, helping set her up for success in her future home. Millie is a gentle, affectionate puppy who enjoys attention, toys, and spending time with her people. She loves to explore and play but also has a calm cuddly side that makes her an easy puppy to fall in love with. If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, Millie may be the perfect puppy for you! All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough. Story
Meet Petunia! Petunia is a sweet girl who recently arrived to us as part of a puppy mill release and is now starting the journey of learning what it means to be safe, loved, and part of a family. As a puppy mill survivor, Petunia is still adjusting to a world that is very new to her. She may be shy or unsure when first meeting new people or experiencing new environments, but with patience and gentle encouragement, she is beginning to show her softer, more trusting side. Petunia is crate trained, which helps her feel secure, but she is not yet house trained and will need a patient family willing to help her continue learning with consistency and kindness. In her previous environment, Petunia lived around children and did well with other dogs. With slow, proper introductions, she would likely also do well with cats. Watching a puppy mill survivor discover the comforts of a home is a gradual but incredibly rewarding process. Every small step forward—whether it’s relaxing nearby, exploring a new space, or seeking out reassurance—represents meaningful progress. Petunia is looking for a calm, understanding home where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. In return, she has the potential to become a deeply loyal and loving companion. If you have the patience and heart to help a shy dog blossom, Petunia may be the perfect addition to your family. All of our dogs are dewormed, spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and heartworm tested if they are old enough.
