Story
Hi there, I'm Zed! I'm almost 4 years old, & weigh 60+ lbs. I'm smart, eager to please, friendly to all the people I meet, & extremely loyal to my family.BUT - I'm not the dog for everyone. I'm a little nervous & insecure, & I need a leader who I know I can trust, as I look to my people to show me how to act. I'm unpredictable around certain other dogs, I have lived with many & been great friends with most, but I can get overwhelmed & try to drive away others. I do best with dogs that let me run things, & I've been amazing with puppies - I am incredibly patient with them. But if I don't know someone's in charge, I can also be leash reactive to strange dogs. I'm fine with cats, & even chickens! Young children who aren't dog savvy can push my boundaries, & that's not good for me. I probably do best with kids over 10. I'm not a first-time dog owner, nor am I an apartment dog.Now here's all the good stuff. I'm 100% house trained, crate trained & leash trained. I share toys & treats and all my favorite things easily. I don't chew anything I'm not supposed to. With a leader I trust (men are my favorite), I learn quickly, & listen to what you say. I love car rides too! Fetch is one of my favorite games, although I'm good at entertaining myself too. And this past summer I learned that I like the water, at least I like dipping in the puppy pool. I'm incredibly observant, & notice everything, so my foster mom always feels safe when she's out walking me by herself. But I also adore my foster dad & would make a great ride-or-die buddy for an empty-nest couple or person. My perfect home would be a place where I can be the center of attention, get plenty of walks & fun, & be understood for who I am. If you think you're a fit, I would love to meet you! Apply at Rescuegang.orgDATCP#483538

Story
These adorable Dalmatian mix puppies are bringing the fun wherever they go! While we know their spotted good looks come from their Dalmatian roots, the rest of their family tree is a bit of a mystery—but whatever the mix is, it clearly created some seriously cute puppies.Their story began in Missouri, where they were part of an unplanned litter. Thankfully, caring rescuers stepped in and helped transport them to Wright-Way Rescue, where they were given the chance at the loving futures they deserve.Since arriving, these pups have been growing up in a fantastic foster home filled with kids, other pets, and even farm animals. Their days are spent doing all the important puppy things—running around the yard, playing with the kids, exploring new sights and sounds, and perfecting the art of the puppy nap.The result? Happy, social, curious puppies who are comfortable around people and excited to make new friends. They have playful personalities, bright little minds, and just the right amount of goofy puppy energy.Like most Dalmatian mixes, these pups will likely grow into active, fun-loving companions who will enjoy adventures, playtime, and plenty of attention from their families. They’re the kind of dogs who will happily join you for backyard games, family outings, and cozy evenings on the couch after a busy day.If you’re looking for a sweet, spotted sidekick who has already had a wonderful start learning about the world, one of these puppies might be the perfect addition to your family. Just be ready—between their spots and their charm, they tend to steal hearts wherever they go. THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN SAVING A LIFE!Volunteers and staff are excited to assist you in the adoption process! Contact us at rescue@wright-wayrescue.org or call us today at (847) 728-5434. Story
🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough. He’s loyal, driven, and ready to be someone’s best adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your partner in life, Atlas is your guy. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.forrescue.net Rescue: Friends of Rescue 💙
