Story
🐾 Meet Atlas – Our Longest-Waiting Adventurer 🐾 Atlas is a 4-year-old Catahoula mix who has been in the rescue program for almost 4 years, and we truly don’t understand how this incredible dog is still waiting for his forever home. Atlas is great with other dogs and enjoys having canine friends. He is cat-friendly, but he can be a bit much for them since he always wants to play—so he’d do best in a cat-free home or one with a very tolerant, confident cat. This guy is active, athletic, and always ready for an adventure. Walks, outings, and staying busy are his jam, so he’ll need an active family who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. Atlas does have some separation anxiety, but it is very manageable and continues to improve with routine and structure. And here’s the really cool part—Atlas has competed in THREE OneWorld Canine Biathlons and absolutely crushed it, even placing 2nd in one of his races! 🏅 This dog has both brains and brawn. 📍 Fostered in Huntsville, AL 🐶 Good with dogs 🐱 Cats with conditions 🏃 Adventure-ready & athletic Atlas has waited long enough. He’s loyal, driven, and ready to be someone’s best adventure buddy. If you’re looking for a dog who will truly be your partner in life, Atlas is your guy. 👉 Apply to adopt at www.forrescue.net Rescue: Friends of Rescue 💙

Story
Mia - medium, catahoula leopard mix After raising her babies and giving them the very best start in life, this sweet 3-year-old mama dog is finally ready for something she’s never truly had… a home of her very own. She has the gentlest soul and a heart full of quiet love. While she’s done an amazing job being a devoted mom, now it’s her turn to be cared for, spoiled, and cherished. She’s affectionate without being overwhelming, happy to stay close by your side, and absolutely melts for soft pets and kind words. Mama has a calm, easygoing nature and would thrive in a peaceful home where she can relax, explore, and just be a dog again. One of her biggest wishes? A fenced-in yard where she can safely roam, stretch her legs, and enjoy the simple joys of sunshine and fresh air. She’s the kind of companion who will quietly follow you around, keep you company on the couch, and look at you with those grateful eyes that say, “Thank you for choosing me.” Momma Mia is potty trained and does well with other calm dogs. However, she has not been cat tested yet. After giving so much love to her puppies, she’s more than ready to receive that same love in return. And once she knows she’s safe, her sweet personality truly shines. Mia is being fostered in Woodstock IL and has an adoption fee of $500. To meet Mia, please fill out an application at Tinypawssmalldogrescue.com or contact Sara at sara.sigrist@comcast.net or 224-600-2547.

Story
Shippo is about 6 years old and he is best friend material. He is playful and always up for a long hike or walk. Nothing makes him happier than cuddling and a dip in the creek. He has a basset hound brother that will also be up for adoption, but he doesn't mind most dogs. He is a little weary of larger playful dogs, but loves little dogs. He has been around kids plenty, but has a protective side when it comes to those he loves. His owner is absolutely devastated to let him go, but medical complications are making it difficult to give him the quality of life he deserves. He has hot spots on his front ankles that are being treated, but the only real solution is getting back to the active lifestyle he enjoys. He would do best with a couple or single person that loves the outdoors. He loves relaxing while fishing and barking at the mail truck. He knows a few tricks and is eager to please. He's gentle and loves hugs, but lacks some boundaries when it comes to manners. He's a good boy.

Story
Meet Gus! Gus is a sweet, loving boy who adores his people and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. After spending much of his early life in an outdoor kennel, the world can still feel a little big and scary at times. Because of this, Gus can be nervous around new experiences, people, and placesbut he is making incredible progress every day. With the help of a trainer, consistency, and lots of love, Gus has shown amazing growth. He's beginning to learn that new places can be safe and that not everything unfamiliar is something to fear. While anxiety can sometimes hold him back from fully enjoying new adventures, his confidence continues to grow with patient guidance. At home, Gus loves chewing on his toys and does a great job sticking to his own things. He rarely shows interest in children's toys and is happiest when he has plenty of appropriate chew toys available. He is also working on house training and has already proven he can go days without any accidents. When meeting new people, Gus may bark because he's unsure and trying to process the situation. However, he does best when people stay calm and don't reinforce his worries. Given time and patience, he settles in and shows his affectionate, loyal personality. Gus is looking for a family that understands that confidence takes time to build. In return, you'll get a devoted companion who loves deeply and is eager to continue learning that the world is a safe place. With patience, consistency, and love, Gus has all the makings of an absolutely wonderful dog. Story
Stevie is the kind of dog who makes every walk feel like an adventure. With her incredible nose and curious spirit, she loves exploring the world around her and would thrive with someone who enjoys long walks and engaging activities. Intelligent and observant, Stevie is also playful at home — especially when it comes to hiding her favorite toys and bones in clever little spots. In foster care, Stevie has shown herself to be a loyal and affectionate companion who enjoys being close to her people and feels safest nearby at bedtime. She would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can fully relax and bond with her family. Stevie has been working with our behavior team and has already made great progress with her reactivity to other dogs and outside activity. She’ll benefit from an adopter committed to continuing her training and providing the calm, structured environment where she shines brightest.
