Story
Soanky was found in a hot garage in San Antonio. Left there with his sister, Wilma, a mama dog and eight puppies, they were left with no food and no water for over a week. The three adult dogs ate a leather sofa, trying to stay alive. Fortunately, we found them. Unfortunately, he has been waiting over three years for someone to see what a sweet boy he is and bring him home. Spanky is dog friendly, however, he would be better with a medium or large size dog for a friend, as he sometimes forgets he is a larger dog. Spanky does not have a strong prey drive, however, he does not seem to comprehend how large he is and would do better not around smaller animals. Spanky is people friendly and kid friendly, he is middle of the road energy wise (half athlete, half couch potato), he is very outgoing, and incredibly sweet. Will you bring him home?

Roomba is a sweet girl we saw and rescued from the shelter she was under weight and she is very friendly but she should definitely go to a home where she is an only dog. She is very high energy and that can overwhelm other dogs. Once she is comfortable you will see what a sweet girl she is. She is now at a normal weight and she’s great on a leash. She will be a great companion to someone who loves the outdoors.

Meet Athena, she's a 4 year old Doberman /Pointer mix. Athena is a super sweet social girl who is great with dogs and kids and loves to be around lots of people. Athena needs to be an outside dog or a ranch dog as she has fecal incontinence and will not wear diapers so can not be house trained. Many tests have been done and there is not a cure for fecal incontinence. If you think Athena might fit into your family please come out to the ranch 34128 Agua Dulce Canyon Road any day between 8:00 and 7:00.

On December 5, 2025, a woman reached out to us asking if we could help a dog at the Carson shelter. Apparently on Thanksgiving, November 27, 2025, she found a dog in the middle of the street. She brought it to the Carson shelter in hopes her owner would look for her. She also posted the dog on lost and found sites and Pawboost. The shelter attempted to reach out to the microchip owner, but nobody came for her. The woman reached out to us and asked if we could help. We replied that we could only help this dog if we had a foster. She agreed to foster this dog until we get her adopted!  Her new name is Claudia.  She is the sweetest, most wonderful dog.  She gets along great with people and with the foster's other dog. Claudia is an 11 yr old spayed rottie/dobie/lab mix who would love a forever home and bring lots of joy to a loving adopter! ##2650044##

2.5 YO pure pred European Doberman. Very friendly with people and is house trained. Is initially unfriendly with other dogs and reactive but has lived with a German shepherd and currently with a chihuahua and they do fine after knowing each other. Needs good exercise and loves to be around people.
