Story
Nova is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her people and brings a whole lot of heart along with her energy. At just under 2 years old, this Doberman/Lab mix (best guess!) is an active, affectionate girl who thrives once she feels comfortable. In familiar places with people she trusts, Nova’s personality really shines—she’s playful, loving, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Whether it’s a walk, a car ride, or just hanging out at home, she wants to be by your side.Nova came to us after her previous family faced unexpected financial and health challenges, and it’s clear she was loved. She’s adjusting to the shelter environment, but like many dogs, it can be a bit overwhelming. She may be a little wary of strangers at first, but she warms up quickly with a gentle approach and a little patience. Her previous owner shared that Nova lived peacefully with a cat, and while she’s been a bit intimidated by the cats here (especially when they hiss at her), she tends to respond with fear rather than aggression. With a calm, cat-savvy household and proper introductions, she could likely coexist just fine again. When it comes to other dogs, Nova has shown some uncertainty during introductions at the shelter—but that’s not unusual given the stress of this environment. With slow, thoughtful introductions and a patient companion, she has the potential to do well with another dog.Nova would do best in a home that can match her energy and continue building her confidence. She’s a smart, active girl who will benefit from regular exercise, structure, and continued positive socialization. In return, you’ll get a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be part of your world. If you’re looking for a devoted dog with a playful spirit and a whole lot of love to give, come meet Nova! Requirements: Martingale Collar; Children 5yrs+ (due to nervousness)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Our adoption fee helps cover this cost.

Story
Male Doberman seeking an experienced, structured home. He is an intelligent, high-drive dog who does best with routine, clear expectations, and confident handling. He mainly lives outdoors and enjoys sunbathing. He enjoys being near people, spending time outdoors, and benefits from regular physical and mental engagement. He has a strong bond with the leader of the home. Best suited for an adult home experienced with Dobermans or other working breeds. He requires consistent management and ongoing training. He may show protective behavior toward unfamiliar men and will bark at small animals. He does well with other dogs once properly introduced. Full disclosure: he has a prior bite incident involving an adult male (bite and release). He has not bitten women or children; however, due to size and history, he should not be left unsupervised with small children. Ideal adopter must be capable of safely handling a powerful breed and committed to structured leadership and continued training.

Story
This sweet, gentle boy has so much love left to give…he’s just waiting for someone to give him a chance. At 12 years old, Rusty is the definition of easygoing. He’s happiest right by your side, soaking up the simple things in life and being your loyal couch companion. He does need potty breaks every few hours and may mark occasionally, but belly bands can easily help manage that. Good with dogs: Yes! Good with cats: Yes! Good with kids: Not sure. Housebroken: Yes, but I like to mark! Health & Wellness Needs: I have no tooth left, but no problem with eating! ##2671284##
