Story
Penny is a 2-year-old spayed Doberman who is potty trained, crate trained, and has completed a 6-week professional training program. She’s smart, loyal, and eager to please. She has a lot of energy - loves to play fetch, is good with most dogs, but has had some squabbles with our female Australian Shepard. She came to us about five months ago from a family member who could no longer care for her. She knows basic commands, including sit, down, here , place, kennel, leave it— some of her training is in French— “assis” (sit), “coucher” (down), and “vien” (here). Penny needs a home without cats, which is the reason we can’t keep her. She’s ready to find a loving forever family who will give her the attention and structure she thrives on. 04/09/26. Hi, my name is Cooper! I’m a gorgeous 17-month-old, big sweet Doberman boy looking for my forever home. My previous owner was very elderly and couldn’t manage my exuberance, strength and puppy energy. I’m still new to the rescue, so they’re getting to know me, but one thing is already clear: I’m incredibly friendly with every person I meet. I’ll definitely need some training. I walk nicely on a leash, but I’m a big boy and will need a strong, confident handler. I’m not a fan of other dogs or cats, so I need to be the only furry kid in the house—but that’s okay, because I have so much love to give. I haven’t been around children, so an adult-only home would be best for me. I’m also scared of storms and loud trucks. Please help me find my furever home.
