Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of either Brattleboro or White River Junction VT. Rooster resides with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
Meet Clifford! A charismatic five-year-old Doberman/Hound mix from Columbus, Ohio, whose presence is as heartwarming as his deep reddish-brown coat. This unique blend of Doberman and Hound brings the best of both worlds—a statuesque figure with a demeanor that's all goof and no aloof. He's a bundle of love who's perfected the art of being the gentle giant in a home bustling with kids and a cat, whom he adores with slobbery kisses! Clifford's personality is as large as he is, weighing in at a solid 90 pounds. He's been known to engage in spirited tug-of-war and fetch sessions, thriving on playful interactions. A fenced yard would be his paradise, though he's just as content with regular jaunts to the dog park. His impeccable house manners are a testament to his intelligence—never a misplaced puddle in sight! His gentle nature extends to children of all ages, displaying an endless reservoir of patience and care. Clifford's current best friend is a feline with a taste for daring games, suggesting he would thrive in a household with energetic cats or playful kids. While his bark is robust and reassuring, signaling security for his family, it's his tender approach to life that truly endears him to all. As much as Clifford is a nearly perfect companion, his new family will enjoy refining his obedience skills, as he can sometimes forget his manners in the thrill of new experiences. He's looking for a home where he can continue to learn and grow, ideally with someone who enjoys a bit of training and lots of cuddles! Clifford's readiness to embrace a new chapter comes with a simple promise: endless affection, loyalty, and a bit of drool. Could your home be the next chapter in Clifford's big-hearted life? If you're ready for love, laughter, and a little bit of learning on the leash, why not consider letting Clifford charm his way into your family? Story
Hello, I'm Crow. I'm a bit of a wallflower, you see. I may be a little shy at first, but give me some time, and I'll be your best friend. I'm a friendly chap, but I prefer a quieter home, with no young children. I'm not sure how I feel about other animals, as I haven't had much experience with them. But I'm willing to learn if you're willing to teach me. I've got a lot of love to give, and I promise to be loyal and devoted. I may take a bit of time to warm up, but once I do, I'll be the most loving companion you could ask for. Why should you adopt me? Because everyone needs a friend who's always there for them, and that's me. I'm Crow, and I'm ready to be your friend. Available at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Meets done Tues-Sat 12-3m. No appointment necessary.

Story
Hello there, I'm Biggie. I might be a bit shy when we first meet, but give me a little time and I'll show you just how friendly I can be. I've got a lot of love to give, I just need a bit of patience. I prefer a calm, quiet environment, so I might do best as the only pet in the house. And while I love people, I think I'd be happiest in a home without young kids. I know it might take a bit for me to warm up, but I promise, once I do, I'll be the most loyal friend you've ever had. Adopt me and let me show you the true meaning of unconditional love. Available at the Saratoga County Animal Shelter. Dog meets done Tues-Sat 12-3. No appointment necessary.
