Story
*MEET XENA* I am about 10 months old. I am lean and very tall, but I am told I will grow into my clumsy body soon. I am very smart and I learn quickly. I love to play and run, then play some more. I really like to be around my people. I will follow them everywhere. I am not fond of being left alone. I am kennel and house trained. I am good with other dogs, bigger dogs are more fun because we can wrestle and play! I am mostly good with cats. They are so mysterious and interesting. Xena was abandoned and picked up by a family friend. When they could no longer keep her, my husband and I took her in. The shelters were likely to euthanize her because of her breed, and we just couldn't let that happen. Ideally, we would love for her to go to someone who is familiar with the breed. However, she will be happy in any home that provides her with love and attention!

Story
Nala is a beautiful 2.5 year old, all natural fawn Dobie. This young girl was isolated as a puppy and did not receive the socialization that Dobermans need so she is a bit cautious of strangers. But, that loving velcro Doberman shows up quickly! Nala still has that puppy energy in a big dog body and will need exercise and patience. Foster would not suggest cats or small dogs as she is very enthusiastic to play and is a bit off-putting to her Foster's Poodle and older Doberman, not aggressive, but big and insistent. This loving girl smiles, is crate trained, house trained and knows how to use a doggy door. Nala is tall enough to counter surf. She is young and very eager to please. She would do great with a submissive male canine friend. She gets along with older, respectful children. Nala would love an active family! A $300 adoption fee applies. Please go to https://www.dobermanrescuenm.org and complete an application.

Story
Copper was born on 11/22/2024 and adopted from our local shelter. He is an affectionate, people-loving pup who truly adores human companionship. According to his Embark results, Copper is primarily American Bully and Doberman, and it shows in his loyalty. He learns quickly, loves to sploot, and is happiest chewing on his favorite bones or toys. He is a puppy still at heart, so toys should be made to be indestructible. No squeakers. Copper would thrive as the only pet in the home, as he does not get along well with other dogs and has shown tension around food, toys, and affection. Because of this, he hasn’t had much exposure to other animals. Copper needs mental and physical stimulation, and in the right home, he will be your devoted best friend.
