Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Yo what up. The official name is Xanadu but around here they call my Xander. I was left on one of those foster home things front porch. It's pretty messed up man. I mean I am fully vetted, heartworm negative, and not one of those crazy baby dog things.  Xander does great at the dog park and loves to play with other dogs, which is good because he is an active boy. His foster parents walk him 3-5 miles every day. Because of his active lifestyle, we recommend a home with no small children. As mentioned before, Xander loves dogs, so he would love to have a doggy companion. When Xander isn't running around, he spends his time watching TV (He's a great Sunday football companion).  Xander is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and loves the dog park. He is learning to use a leash but pulls a lot still. He does have some separation issues and will bark at people. Xander is an amazing dog, that still needs some training. He is looking for a someone knowledgable of the doberman breed but loving pawrent to love him. **Xander's perfect home would have another dog, older or no children, and someone with doberman breed experience.         Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 10, 2024, 6:28 pm

Story
Zeppelin is a pure bred Doberman. He is 3 yrs old and neutered. Up to date on all shots. He requires a lot of time and exercise and a yard. He needs a lot of attention and love. He’s been brought up around small and big children, and a mini dachshund. He knows basic commands. Still pulls when on a leash. Loves to go for walks and ride in the car. He has been boarded while we travel and does ok. He does get separation anxiety. He can’t have soft blankets or stuffed animals. Or anything soft. He needs someone who will be with him most of the time. He will eat your pillows and blankets if left out.

Story
This is a very special situation. I was always told when you buy or adopt a dog it’s your duty to stick with that dog until the end of its days, so it goes against everything inside me to do this, but situational circumstances and due to no fault of her own I’m rehoming my beautiful black lab mix named Nirvana. Now she is not your average dog so I will say it upfront, she has severe separation anxiety and anxiety in general. But I promise if you take time to know this dog, to let her know you, she will be bonded to you for life. She just needs what I cannot provide her right now, someone who either works from home or is home the majority of the time. She loves other dogs, gets along well with people but is very shy at first. I got her from a shelter about a year and a half ago when she was a puppy who wouldn’t let anyone near her due to trauma, she’s 2 now and has come a very long way. I’ve had her come work with me on farms, she’s seen everything, is well

These pups are in Clayton, North Carolina too!

Story
I adopted Tanner from the Wake County animal shelter when he was 2 years old. He just turned 8 years old this year but you wouldn't know it. He still gets the zoomies and sprints around the yard at full speed until he tires and loves playing tug of war with a rope. When I take him to the dog park people ask me how old he is thinking he's a puppy and are startled when I tell them he's a senior. He gets along great with other dogs, loves kids and people, and never barks inside the house (he does bark outside though). Tanner is a very low maintenance pup. I've never had to put him in a crate, He doesn't chew up furniture or belongings and can hold his pee all day until I get back from work. He's handsome, he's always been healthy, his coat is soft and he does't smell bad like some other dogs. Unfortunately my girlfriend is severely allergic to dogs and we can't live together until Tanner finds a new home, otherwise I would spend many more years with this happy pup.
