Story
Meet Rhett! This striking blue and amber eyed boy is a sensitive soul; his time in the shelter didn't break his soft heart, he's very close and cuddly with his person and he likes to meet new friends. Rhett LOVES to snuggle. He's presently living in harmony with another dog and cat in his foster home, he doesn't pay much mind to the cat at all and he likes to play with his doggy friend occasionally but calms down easily. Rhett hasn't had any formal training but he's getting better on a leash, knows how to lay down, and he comes when he's called (if you can get him to leave your side in the first place). He's extremely treat motivated so he should do well with someone patient that's willing to work on obedience training with him. He's a very quiet boy, even when his foster sister is barking her face off at passers by Rhett doesn't make a peep, he just quietly watches the action. We think he might be a greyhound mix but that's just a guess. Rhett was in the shelter for a while so he has a few nervous self-soothing habits, most notably he slowly pets himself to sleep, and he has worried the hair around his waist although that seems to be subsiding now that he has a more stable environment. Rhett will do well with someone patient that's willing to help him learn new skills and loves a close cuddle bug.

Story
MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training in the Los Angeles area to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is also hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet sweet old man Tempo! He is a 10 year old gentle Dobie. He is very affectionate, mellow, easy to walk. He likes to play with toys and hang with his humans, and is fascinated by other dogs. He likely has some sort of neuro condition, as he often turns in circles, but he doesn't let it dampen his spirits... he just wants to live out his golden years with a family who is willing to see past his circling and enjoy him as the positive being that he is. If you are ready to open your heart and your home to this social soul, please ask to meet Tempo Tempo has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video below ##2580665##

Story
Beautiful NORA is a 5-year-old Doberman mix who has already been failed once... and now she's about to lose her life. She originally entered the shelter as a stray, redeemed by her owner, just to be surrendered for the holidays. Now Nora is sitting in a kennel, confused, terrified, tail tucked, shaking as the barking around her never stops. She is not a bad dog - her former owner said she is good with people she knows, knows basic commands, and is loving and a loyal dog.
