She is a well-behaved and strong girl, who will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health though could gain a bit of weight. I was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter and currently am in a foster home in the Ventura, Calif., area. I am a mellow, easygoing girl, very gentle, and I love being with people. I've also done great with other dogs. I'm just a sweet soul in need of a forever home. I weigh about 70 lbs. I'm currently in California, but can be transported to Oregon. MEET BLITZ, an 85-lb stunning Doberman male who is waiting for his forever home. Blitz is a large Dobie, almost 2 years old. He is a dark red, almost chocolate color and is magnificent in appearance. Blitz is currently in training in the Los Angeles area to overcome some fears and quirks he has had in the past. He is affectionate with people he knows but in the past was tense and suspicious with strangers, especially if he is in a confined space. He can also be a bit stubborn, though his training is helping tremendously. Blitz gets along great with other dogs-- he has previously lived happily with a female Doberman in his foster home. Because of his size and strength, a home without small children is mandatory. Blitz has high energy and would benefit from having a yard, where he can run and play. Blitz is also hypo-thyroid so is on inexpensive thyroid medication, which will likely be forever. We believe Blitz is of European ancestry and like all Euro-Dobies, he has heavier bones and a larger head than the more petite American Dobies. Blitz is without question a lot of dog! But he is a lot of really good dog. Doberman or large-dog experience is a must for his adoption. Please email for an application. He is currently in California but available to Oregonians to meet.

HI - I'M PHOENIX! I'm a handsome and healthy 10-year-old Rottie-Dobie mix in need of a foster or forever home. I lost my previous foster home due to no fault of mine, and I really miss having people around to snuggle and take me for walks and other outings. A little bit about me: I was rescued from a shelter a couple years ago, where I was a shelter favorite, and am currently waiting for someone to adopt me. I weigh about 80 lbs. Despite my age, I am active and I'm a very loving dog. I'll do well with an active person or people who can take me for walks and hikes. I have many positive traits - I am affectionate, I walk well on a leash, and I am a loyal and sweet dog. I will be your best friend for life. I also prefer to have my person or people around, but that can be expected of most dogs! I am not a barker unless it is warranted. I can also be a bit protective of my people and our property, which can be a good thing. While I get along with dogs I know (especially female dogs around my size), I can be reactive on a leash toward dogs I don't know. However, I really do like female dogs - I currently love to hang out and go on walks with my girlfriend Darla, a Doberman. And I love human attention and affection - I am affectionate and caring. He likely has some sort of neuro condition, as he often turns in circles, but he doesn't let it dampen his spirits... he just wants to live out his golden years with a family who is willing to see past his circling and enjoy him as the positive being that he is. Chipa is a 3 yo M blk/brn doberman foster notes   Chipa would do best with someone experienced in working dogs.  He's high energy  and needs mental & physical stimulation.  Absolutely no cats, kids or small dogs at least at this stage.  He is pretty good with size appropriate female dogs but has a rough play style and does resource guard food and some toys.  He's crate trained, doing better on leash and still learning to pay attention.  He's food motivated, sweet and silly.  Slightly suspicious of strangers and could be destructive left to his own devises.  Seems to like the water so a good candidate for swimming.  I recommend adopters get him into something like scent work, obedience and trick training. or spend time hiking or biking with him ##2574877##
