Story
Remington - Greater Swiss/Hound Mix - Male - 6 years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Remington is an energetic 6-year-old Doberman/Greater Swiss Mountain dog mix (we think) who likes to play with toys and other dogs.  Remington is active and energetic, loves to play ball, is house and crate trained and walks well on leash. He is very smart, learns quickly and wants to please. Remington is looking for a dog-experienced home that can give him the guidance, training and exercise he needs and craves. He previously has had a bad experience with a trainer and an electric collar and takes some time to trust new people, he now doesn't like his collar grabbed. He likes playing with other dogs, but has to be reminded not to guard his resources, like toys and food. He loves his people but can be rude meeting new people. He walks well on leash and runs nicely next to a bike for exercise. He likes to follow his person throughout the house to make sure he's not missing anything, especially in the kitchen - he loves Ice cubes! As he's a large and somewhat pushy character, he's looking for an large-breed experienced home, with or without a similar sized balanced dog. He takes direction well and is fully crate and house trained. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***

Story
This mama is the sweetest girl around! Debbie was found as a very pregnant Doberman that was likely dumped and then brought to us by a couple of good Samaritans! She was originally thought to be around 3 years old but now that we’ve got her comfortable and taken a closer look, we believe Debbie is actually closer to 8 years old. She has some broken teeth and golf-ball sized mammary tumors but is as sweet as pie! She is currently still recovering from giving birth 1/4/24, but will soon have her veterinary needs addressed and will soon be ready for her furever home! Debbie just wants to be loved on and go for walks, she is decent on a leash, is house trained and crate trained. She was a bit afraid of the neighborhood cats I feed outside my front door and barked once to tell them to go away. Debbie LOVES children and seeks out their attention over adult friends, however, due to her age, we would recommend older or calmer kids. She is good with other dogs including young playful ones, but prefers slow introductions where she can clearly set her expectations, which is that she prefers to co-exist with other dogs and does not like them to be too boisterous in her face. She takes treats very gently and is just the sweetest old lady! We may have fallen in love with her already! 😊 Being older, she does slip and slide on the hard floors so her furever home may have to invest in some extra rugs around the house! Debbie's personality is coming out more and more now that she is healed from having puppies and settled into the house! She is cool with whatever you want to do, whether that is cuddling and lounging about or going on a walk and patrolling the yard for enemy squirrels! Debbie has even become comfortable enough to start being naughty! Snacks or even lunch left unattended are fair game for miss Debbie! 😊 Every perfect thing has to have one flaw, right?? If you are looking for a friend to keep you company while you garden, stroll around the neighborhood with the kids or enjoy the view from porch, Debbie is it!! 6/1/24 Update: How is miss Debbie still available?! She is the most perfect lady! After some concern that she may have a blood clotting disorder common in Dobermans, we have finally gotten her scheduled for a spay and mammary mass removal for July. Her clotting factor will be monitored and if needed, we can have some Doberman buddies on standby for plasma and blood transfusions. A few weeks after that, she will receive her heartworm treatment. Please get this perfect lady into her forever home!

Story
We got Mr. Theo 4 years ago when he has born. He does not have his papers but he is purebred. He’s very loving and true definition of mans best friend. Follows you everywhere you go and sits patiently till you’re ready to give him attention. He loves sleeping on my lap/couch while getting relaxing pets. He LOVES the dog park and gets along with everyone. Just be careful saying PARK. That’s his favorite word and he gets very excited. He’s house trained and sweet. He doesn’t bite. Even though he looks like a scary dog he doesn’t jump on anyone or invade personal space.

Story
Alpha is 7 month old male dog. He prefers to be outside and loves to run. He's potty trained and will let you when he needs to go. He has all shots, and has been neutered. My work is sending me out of town for the next year. I'll be working long shifts. I will not be able to be home. I'm not able to bring him with me. I have no family or anyone that can watch him while I'm away.

Story
Hank, aka “Shawshank Hank,” is a very lovable and energetic dog. He needs a home where he is the only pet, as he can be unpredictable around other dogs. He loves snuggles, running, and playing with his toys. He’s happiest when he’s around humans. He has such a big heart and so much love to give. He attends agility classes at Molly’s Mutt House, and is an absolute star (look him up!). Once you look into those big brown eyes, you will immediately fall in love.
