Remington - Greater Swiss/Hound Mix - Male - 6 years - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Remington is an energetic 6-year-old Doberman/Greater Swiss Mountain dog mix (we think) who likes to play with toys and other dogs. Remington is active and energetic, loves to play ball, is house and crate trained and walks well on leash. He is very smart, learns quickly and wants to please. Remington is looking for a dog-experienced home that can give him the guidance, training and exercise he needs and craves. He previously has had a bad experience with a trainer and an electric collar and takes some time to trust new people, he now doesn't like his collar grabbed. He likes playing with other dogs, but has to be reminded not to guard his resources, like toys and food. He loves his people but can be rude meeting new people. He walks well on leash and runs nicely next to a bike for exercise. He likes to follow his person throughout the house to make sure he's not missing anything, especially in the kitchen - he loves Ice cubes! As he's a large and somewhat pushy character, he's looking for an large-breed experienced home, with or without a similar sized balanced dog. Rufus - Doberman/German Pinscher - Male - 3 months - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rufus: This oh-so-adorable little guy was found abandoned in the middle of nowhere on the side of a road - skin and bones, he probably would not have survived the night if he hadn't been rescued. Now in the care of his experienced foster, he is filling out, gowning, learning and able to do puppy things. He LOVES toys, gets along with the other dogs in the house and is learning to respect the cats. He is a typical young puppy - he loves exploring his surroundings with his needle sharp puppy teeth, and thus learning the sound "uh-uh" when those find inappropriate things like fingers and toes. Rufus is quite smart and learning quickly, sassy enough to come back for confirmation of things he really likes to chew on. As he was malnourished when found and still very young, we don't have an exact estimate of how large he will get, his next weigh in will give us more information, but he will likely be medium to large. Rufus is looking for a home with another dog for him to play with - similar size or bigger would probably be best, older kids would be ok, as he's still learning to reign in the needle sharp teeth and will dart out a door if its left open. As he's too young to "hold it" during a regular working day, someone home a lot is required so he learns housetraining quickly. I foster my dog when my brother passed recently. Rica is an adult. Age unknown. She is a very sweet and loving and obedient dog. She loves small kids and gets along with my small grand kids. I don't have the time to have a dog due to my working schedule. Rica needs a large ranch or yard to run and play. She is potty trained. When she wants to go out and poop or pee. She uses my brother's command, which is "Poo Poo" Pee Pee". He taught me this command for her and she goes outside to do just that. Rica is past the mourning stage of her master and she is cheerful, friendly and loves to go for long walks. Please help me find a nice home for her.
